I find the cx 5 sport nav 2015 facelift model to be a fantastic drive slightly firm but the leather seats keep you in comfort at the same time quite fixed in so when cornering it holds you in .its an all round great car it pulls a caravan with ease. i have the metallic red eye catching my first mazda but not my last .👍

Got the Sport Nav 175 diesel as a company car. Probably the best vehicle I've ever had in years (including A Mercedes 350C, Honda CRV, Alfa Romeo, and a few others..)

I have a 2016 CX5 Sport Nav 175 Diesel Auto. Took delivery last summer and it replaced a 6 Tourer. Great car, great drive, great equipment and they went a long way with the model revisions in 2015 to upgrade the interior and sort the brittle ride and poor road noise. Given what's on offer I think it's good value, I agree that it's a great drive (particularly for an SUV) and it's not far short of competing with the premium brands like the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. My only issue now is trying to prevent myself trading it in early for the new model CX5!

the new model looks smaller and narrower.it might just be a trick of the eye.the 2015 model and 2016 models have all the flaws ironed out and would make a great second hand buy.

I have had the Sport Nav CX5 for 6 years now and think it is a very good car comfortable, spacious, good on fuel and £30 road tax. I do wish the dash lit up in blue and red, as in the previous Mazda 3 Sport, a proper hand brake, even after 6 years I still hate electronic ones, and a heated front windscreen. That would make this car even better. What really drives me mad is the system that makes the engine rev at approximately 2000 rpm for nearly one minute after starting depending on engine or ambient temperature and the regeneration system which half the fuel consumption and affects performance for the 10 miles it is active for. If and when I change I will go for a petrol one as my mileage per year has now dropped considerably.

I'm on my second Sport Nav. A great car to drive and it certainly has presence on the road.

thanks for the video review, I am actually looking at purchasing a second hand 2012-2016 CX-5 new import to New Zealand. this has helped me out greatly.

Am I the only one who thinks the 2016 interior looks better than 2017 model?

You are not the only one, in fact even the 2016 exterior is better than of 2017

So, the absence of TFT on the instrument panel is considered to be an advantage now? And a touchscreen is something that we should be worried about? Did Mazda write the review for you to recite by any chance?
@bighands698 жыл бұрын
+Meni Fo Most touch screens in cars suffer from lag making them chunky to use. TFT's are amazing in Mercedes but in other cars they simply are not as good. His point is that they have kept the good in this car and have not destroyed it with a cheap style solution.

Interesting review. I've just ordered my CX-5 Sport Nav 2wd diesel and it was definitely a class leader. At some points the review felt far too fast so slow down on the next one. Good work.

This is probably considered to be a large SUV in the UK I'm thinking
@jamesgordon7839 жыл бұрын
This is actually classed as a mid size crossover. Large SUVs here in the UK are like Land Rover Discovery, Nissan X-Trail, Hyundai Santa Fe, etc. The CX-5 rivals cars like Nissan Qashqai, Renault Kadjar, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, etc.

I'm surprised that there is enough room on those tight English country lanes for those larger SUVs!
