I like mine. The slower you go the more range you'll have. It loves 45-55mph for best results. Tops out at 93mph. Look for a SL or SV trim level (more features and better heater...has both PTC heat for instant blast of hot and a Heat Pump to maintain the cabin temp). Look for the battery health on dash. Theres 12 bars on the right of the "fuel" guage. More bars = more range still left. Mine had 9 last year. Is a 13 SL 24kW. At 8 bars now. Can do a solid 50 miles at highway speeds or about 70 miles if I drive slower on back roads with a light foot.
@starfox63353 жыл бұрын
Also I might add... Look for a 2013 or newer and join LEAF groups on facebook and ask lots of questions before you buy. We are happy to help. Its a hot market now. You still may find a sweetheart deal like I did but prices are rising. Carvana is offering top dollar to buy used LEAFs but they don't go by battery health just milage to assess the value. Buyer beware! The motor can go a million miles so dont worry about that part, just traction battery and suspension bits are known wear items. I have 101k miles on mine and it's not even needed brakes yet! Regen mode helps with slowing you down where the pads barely get any wear.

Overall my leaf has been doing me mostly fine. I drive about 20k a year doing food delivery. it's sort of like driving a VW bug in a rally race. Completely unassuming, but gets me where I need to go faster than many cars while going the speed limit. Handling around corners is great, just wish it had a limited slip differential... 100 miles in a single day is about the limit of practicality for this car, which for me is about two full batteries where I live. At that point battery overheating sets in. The interior is Built To Last

Honestly, if you can get one, i reccomend a used Citroen Zoe. Works out around 9k used with the battery on finance lease, and the battery lease gives you COMPLETE warrenty, recovery, part replacement and roadside recovery, including replacing the whole battery. 24k car for 9k. AND it has a 100 mile actual range compared to the leafs 60, and you can charge that in 30 minutes from a quick charger.

@AnArmoredMarch3 жыл бұрын
The leaf actually has a reputation for being suuuuuuuper quiet. Someone must have heard it was a major bonus toward electric cars and so they designed it around that. The headlights are actually designed to reduce the amount of air hitting the mirrors in an effort to reduce wind noise, and that's why they're shaped to fuckin weird

What annoys me the most in this world of EVs is the owners, many think they're better for "saving the world", but guess what, they're not, the best an EV can do is reduce urban pollution, since it's to produce an EV releases twice as much CO2 as an ICE, maybe in the future this number will decrease, but still invariably it will always be greener not to have a car, a diesel bus is greener than a tesla.
