Thoroughly enjoyed this! All those rainy days, typical of our family canoe trips huddled under the tarp waiting for a break. What a beautiful time of year to be there. Will look forward to September trips when we get through the school years. Thank you so much for continuing to share your amazing photography.

Thanks, I really do like the Sept/ Oct trips and the Fall colors! We definitely got a lot of use out of the tarps this year :-)

Gary, wonderful pics as usual. It was another great adventure even with the rain and wind. My knees are finally feeling back to normal after those portages. 😀 Looking forward to paddling with you all again next year.

Thanks Dave - glad the knees are recovering... my left wrist has mostly recovered too. Sheesh, we must be getting old with all these aches and pains.

The best photo clips I have seen of the boundary waters. We started out our trip at the travel center early September. Love the area. Thank you for sharing! Planning our 2017 trip now.

We were up there around the same time but on the Little Indian Sioux route and the mushrooms were amazing for us as well. Great video, your pictures are beautiful and inspire us to start planning our next trip.

Excellent photos as always Gary! You went in the day we came out from our September trip. Didn't see near the color you did. I returned the 1st week of October -- much better color then... and weather!

Thanks Larry - you came out on Sept 25 then back in the first week of Oct... you are really packing in the trips! :-) I can't say I blame you, Fall is the time to be up there.

Thanks for sharing your trip. I was at Lower Basswood Falls the last two weeks of September. I missed the peak fall colors by about a week. We also experienced a lot of rain. However, there is never a bad trip in the BWCA. Thanks again.

Thanks for commenting! I love the Lower Basswood Falls... and agree, even though we may have some rain or bugs or whatever, all BWCA trips are special!

I am so used to video that it surprised me how much I liked this almost 'old fashioned' slideshow. Almost every photo is a great photo !

My Sept. trip was a bit damp as well. Although you seem to have had more fall colors than I found. Thank you for bring us along.

Gary, was that one of Bell Northstar solo canoes? Which one? What do you wish it had? Beautiful photography! Thanks for sharing!
@HamerNaturePhotos7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is the Northstar Northwind solo in their proprietary kevlar weave and the optional wood trim. This was the first trip I made with it and loved it! But it is also the first solo I have owned so I don't have a lot to campare it against.
