It should have been true dual out the back since it is a factory true dual. But that’s just me. Magnaflow is perfect. Nice deep tone. Not too loud. It’s more performance than just sound

You have to go this route on a 5.7 tundra. If you dual it out, you lose lots of low end torque. The 5.7 isn’t an American engine. Coyote , hemi, small block, etc. the 5.7 tundra relies on the back pressure built from a dual in , single out small diameter exhaust. If you put a 3 inch dual exhaust on it , that noticeably decreases your engine performance.

@@crazypig233 check the tundra forums. A free flowing 3 inch cat back won’t improve the performance of your tundra 5.7. I can’t speak on the 4.7, the 4.6, or the new twin turbo 6. A lot of folks who dual out their tundra lose low end torque. To the point that they will go back to stock, or get an upgraded dual in single out exhaust. If you do headers and an x pipe dual setup with a tune you will see not so bang for your buck gains. Maybe 50 hp.

@@paulbates2626 ahh I see. I just did some research and my hunch was right. But so are you haha. Sooo back pressure in the sense we usually think about it is a myth. You never want obstructed flow of the exhaust in a way that actually produces more pressure. What’s happening when people dual out their exhaust or increase the pipe is they actually lose exhaust velocity. The pipe has to be sized correctly for the amount of gases flowing. Going to big causes the exhaust gas to tumble around rather than flow smoothly. It’s a bit counter intuitive but explains why people that size up their exhaust without increasing engine power and subsequently the amount of exhaust gas being produced end up with negative effects.

Flowmaster and magnaflow at base is trash. The worst mufflers ever. just leave it stock if your worried about neighbors. the neighbors would not care if their car was loud. imagine stopping your build because of neighbors and wasting money for lik a 10 dcb difference?

@KingIrvXL in cars from the 70s or on a super charged or pro charge they are hood. not on a stock motor unless it's a scat or cat.
