IDK about other states but tow service here in WA State runs $100.00-$200.00 for the tow alone so if you only charged 1 Hr labor the owner got a really, really good deal. But, best of all Jon looks healthy.

The owner changed the battery and forgot to connect one of the leads on the positive side.... wow. And let's not mention that they ran the negative right in the way of that pedal travel...

An hr is pretty darn cheap in my opinion. They are paying for your skills and diagnostic abilities. They gave up and said fix it.. a photo before disassembly would have given them the answer they needed. Opps...I left a wire off...duh...

Ok, dumb question, why was checking the oil number two. I would have tried the key then checked the battery second.

We always check oil in a customers bike before starting unless it is ridden in. This one came on a flatbed. yes, we have seen them come in with no oil, and this prevents a costly issue if we were to start with no oil.
