Kenny asks, "so what's going to happen now?" Mamma responds, "I'm going to gulp you whole and alive." Kenn replies, "will it hurt?" Mama says, "at first it won't, you'll slide down my heart and then you will hear my heart beating, it will get very warm and then you'll slowly beginning to suffocate until you can't breathe and then you'll die." Kenny responds, "momma! no please, that sounds awful, please, I love you mom!" momma replies, "I know, I love you too Kenny." Momma raises her head and Kenny slides down her throat, Kenny can be heard struggling inside, fighting for his life. Momma says, "It's no use Kenny, settle down and digest like a good boy."

I believe that the 4th chick is only ever meant to be insurance just incase 1 of the other chicks dies and as soon as it's obvious that the others are going to live then there's no room for a weaker chick.

that would imply that they always have a bonus chick, which they do not, this chick is weak and would take more care than the others, ergo it must die so the others will live stronger.

People do the same things. China's " one child only" policy meant that many families killed or aborted their girl babies. The ancient Romans routinely killed girl babies, until THERE WEREN'T ANY MORE! So, they had to abduct a bunch of females from their neighbors the Sabines, to keep their population alive. Hi, Danielle, We don't know how old Sara is. There were already 2 different females at this nest with Tobias. We called both females Sarah. The last broods were incredibly bad.Very bad weather conditions, resulting in a lack of food. The little ones starved to death! And this is what separates humans from most other animals. We have the capacity to actually feel emotions, animals like this feel nothing, its all just moving through the motions. Thankfully animals like dolphins and monkeys have some semblance of human like emotion.
@magentamonster3 жыл бұрын
That's nonsense, of course non-humans feel emotions. They're not psychopaths. If non-humans didn't have emotions, it would make emotions a recently evolved trait in humans, so they wouldn't be very well developed, and psychopathy would be way more common. You are confusing emotions with sapience, humans and their extinct relatives like Neanderthals are the only known sapient animals. Emotions, however, are way more ancient. They are one of the most basic (instinctual) parts of sentience, and are likely found in all vertebrates (mammals, reptiles (inlcuding birds), amphibians and fish), cephalopods (octopuses, squid, cuttlefish, nautiluses and allies), annelids (leeches, earthworms and allies) and arthropods (insects, crusteceans, aracnids, myirapods and allies). If animals didn't have emotions, they wouldn't survive and reproduce. Fear helps them avoid danger, disgust helps them avoid infectious disease and poisoning, joy is a positive motivator, love helps them bond with allies such as mates and relatives, sexual desire encourages reproduction, sexual and romantic jealousy help to maximise their opportunities to reproduce. They are so useful they evolved four times. If you spend time around a non-human vertebrate (such as a dog or wild bird), you would probably notice that their behaviour is complex enough to provide some pretty strong evidence for sentience and emotions. The distinctive call of the Australian magpie (Gymnorhina tibecen) is an alarm call, meaning the bird is afraid. Another evidence for non-human emotions is human emotions. Some of our emotions are not really well suited to us, but this can be explained by the fact we evolved from non-humans. Perhaps the best example is that humans tend to find fluffy animals cute, even though our species lacks fur or feathers. Another is our fear of snakes, even though they are unlikely to prey on us due to our size, because we evolved from monkeys , who snakes prey on.

In fact survival of the fittest isn't always about being strong as it might be luck and/or adapting to whatever scenario. Not to hate on the ideology but what is strong? Many strong life forms die.
