Can't wait to order this in a couple weeks. I have a 2018 Silverado and can't wait to see the difference over factory. UPDATE: I installed this on my truck a couple of days ago and I'm very happy with. The lag in the throttle response is gone, has more get up and go and over all just a lot more fun to drive. I think I'm gonna try the pedal commander next and see what that does for me.

i'm surprised that they didnt mention the biggest upside to the clear cover/ "sealed box" design.....the fact that it cuts down on hot air from the engine bay being sucked in and keeps the air intake to mostly cold air. most "Cold Air" intakes that are just the tube with a filter at the end are really "Hot Air" intakes because they suck in the hot air from the engine bay

Do you need to disconnect battery..seen other videos that show removing negative terminal

This intake fits the v6 4.3 engine. All you have to do is plug up the 2nd hose connection at the intake body.

Why wouldn't this work on the 14-16 years as well?

This cold air intake is specific to 17-18 model years, it will not fit 14-16 years. -Zach

I just don't get why there is so many intakes for these trucks if they all are literally the same nothing different just different brand names

Id bet.. Even if its a miniscule difference. The intake box being enclosed vs a open there's a difference.
