Any suggestions on how to remove that cap? I saw the whole video but mine doesn't move at all😢

They are difficult to remove. You may know somebody with a very strong grip that can do it or you may have to use something like channel lock pliers or something that can grip the piece that sticks out a little bit.

The LED bulbs stick out too far and I was not able to put the covers back on but have had no problems yet.

Hey Paul can both sides be reached from the engine bay? I see lots of other videos of people going under the wheel well? Thanks in advance boss 👍🏼💪🏼

Yes, both are accessible from the engine bay. This is the base model, so it does not have fog lights. I wonder if those that are going through a wheel well are doing it to access a fog light? I’m not sure.

@@PaulNaylor3 ahhhh i see I’m putting these same lasfit leds in my girlfriend’s 18 elantra value package or whatever it is. She doesn’t have fogs either but she has like a led daytime running fog, its weird. I’ll check it out later on. Thanks again for the reply paul 👍🏼 i subbed to the channel too. I've got a problem with mine. The led will work for my passenger side but my driver side won't work with the led. Any suggestions?

I’m sure you have already checked your connections to make sure it’s plugged in correctly. If you don’t mind the time it takes, you could take your working passenger light and try it on the driver side to see if it works over there. If it does not you know you have a bad bulb. if it works over there just leave it there and take your bulb that does not work and try it on the passenger side. If you have a bad bulb I would encourage reaching out to the manufacturer.

@@PaulNaylor3 I already did that and it only works with the passenger side. I took the driver and plugged it into the passenger side and it works fine. Just the driver side doesn't light up with the led

Try your LED again on your driver side. If it doesn’t work unclip it and rotate it 180° and plug it back in. After doing a Google search I found out that some of these bulbs have a polarity where they may only work one way. Let me know if that works. Good luck.

Mr. Paul, I still use the first embed of high beam and low beam since 2017, but the side led strap seems to burn out in some parts. Does that Hb3 9005 also cover the led strap or another bulb is needed?

Having a hard time changing the driver side buld. Walmart charge $10 but they couldn't get to the bulb. Tires plus want $47 just for labor. They would probably charge $50 for the bulb if you bring your own.

This video is for low beams but there are led options for the high beams. The process of changing the bulbs is the same but the part number is different

The low beams is 9005 model and high beam is H7 in some models.

It is a very weird application to use 9005 as low beams than most common use as high beams.

For the 2017 Elantra SE the low beam is a 9005 and the high beam is an H7.

@@PaulNaylor3 that’s one head scratcher thing. I feel like Hyundai/Kia are the only ones that uses 9005 as low beams. Also how’s the new led headlight bulb upgrade from Lasfit - LA plus? Feels much better and safer? @PaulNaylor3

With the high beam and low beam remember that a lot of that has to do with how the light is directed. The low beams are angled down towards the road a little more whereas the high beams project out further into the distance so I think it is more about the direction of the light than the power of the bulb. We noticed a great increase in visibility when we put in the LED headlights. The only thing was that because the LED bulb extended out further into the engine bay then the original halogen bulb, we had to leave the plastic cover off that seals the headlights. This has not caused us any problems so far.

@@PaulNaylor3 there’s other options for that solution. Lasfit makes LCair. Which is the same size as the halogen bulb with a 26mm hydraulic cooling fan. And it’s an instant plug and play without removing the dust cover. Which is a big plus

im getting message in dash saying check headlights low beam is it from a low quality bulb maybe? i have the fog lights on bottom model

Have you replaced the original halogen lights with LEDs? Does the dash warning specifically say the low beams or does it just say to check your lights?

@PaulNaylor3 it's says specifically low beam. I cannot remember what type of bulb I put in there they may be a cheap chinese brand

That’s most likely your problem. You need to buy a namebrand size 9005. You can get cheaper bulbs, but here is a link to a Sylvania ultra halogen that puts out a good light: amzn.to/3SO7WGh

You just want to go with a 9005 size that is a legitimate brand. The LEDs use less energy so they have built-in harnesses that account for that so you don’t get those warnings on your dash. LASFIT does a good job with this as I’ve never had any warning lights since changing them out.
