2017 3rd Gen Nissan Murano Sunroof leak

After a rain my wife would notice stains on our A pillars along with wet floor boards. Finally fixed our issue by clearing out the exit of the sunroof drain pipe. Used the following:

My issue started with a musty smell. Didn’t realize the carpets in the front and back driver and passenger sides were soaked. Shop vac took out over 2 gallons of water! I initially thought it was the air conditioner drain pipe so I blew that out. Thought that solved the problem lo and behold the carpets are soaking wet again after a rain storm. Quick question for you I couldn’t tell from the video. Do you have any discoloration on the ceiling of the car from witness? I do not. The only issue I have are the wet carpets front and back on the floor.

I have the same problem and my front passenger side is flooded. I’ve had it worked on twice and the first time they ordered a new sunroof. I’ve spent thousands trying to get this fixed and now I feel like a chump. 🤬

Very helpful thanks DW, you made it a less daunting task. The only thing I wouldn't have done is stick the brush in through the yellow area because you probably pushed back in any debris that was lodged in there. Will your cable poke through that yellow drain if you stick it through the top again?? Just wondering; I was waiting for you to try that. You're right, not many rainfalls in TX but when it does rain it pours for days!

Thank you. I didn’t try going that far. Was worried it would get stuck. I think why they cable did was push the debris closer to the exit. From there I was able to clean it out.
