I've had a 2017 m50d for 2 years now previously a E70 40d and I love it don't give it the beans all the time but when you need to overtake it's amazing still love getting in it 😊

I'm looking to do the same. I'm preparing my E70 40D for sale and I'm looking for an F15 M50D. The 40D has given me great service over the last 8 years. But I want more power now. 😅

Yeah you won't regret it lovely cars X5s but the M50d is the icing on the cake mate Try and get a good spec 1 I opted for white with the black sport kit looks nice

@@glenlongstaff5543 My E70 is well stacked - Adaptive Cruise, TV function, all seats heated, rear Camera and powered boot - so I'm looking for like-for-like. But given my budget, it'll be a high mileage 50D for me. Well in excess of 100k on the clock. 👍🏾

You will already know this but as long they are serviced they'll go for a lot longer than 100k Hope you have great luck in finding a great M50d

So we have the E70 40d for the last 12 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is the M50D more fuel efficient being the later model than E70 40d? or is it the same or worse than 27mpg (urban) in the 40d? or 350 miles on a full tank? not sure if the M50D is the same engine with an extra turbo?

great video! later 50ds had 4 turbos on them, wish they did the M550D over here. would have been incredible.

A 3/450d would have been very interesting even though remaps can replicate what a 50d would be like.

7-seat version has air-suspension at the back. I have the same car and when it is hacked up you can see them.

With my 330d I actually used manual mode for the opposite reason as normal, to get it to hold onto a gear rather than kicking down

very tough call. I’d say sq7 for the uniqueness of that V8tdi and the m50d for mid range power delivery

if you think the x5 50d is mental, theres a diesel that can out do it, and thats bmw 220d.... with the tri turbo b57 out of one of them

I love BMW but the 50d you should always stay away from. The twin turbo 40d is much more reliable and lasts longer. Tune it and get more hp than the 50d which is already on breaking point, stock wise. If you want big torque in a German SUV, you have to get the 4.2 V8 TDI in a Cayenne S Diesel or VW Touareg, 850Nm stock. Beats the 50d any day.
