​@babayegajaeger7082 Chevy has 200 MPH on the speedometer, but it will only reach maybe close to 190. Maybe a tune will get it there. But most people will never in life hit 200 MPH on America roads instant death if tried. All it takes for an idiot to cut in front of you on a high speed run. On some parts of the Autobahn in Germany 200 MPH and over can be done safely. AutopNL on KZbin proves it time and time again.

Towards the end when he’s slowing down after reaching top speeds from the straight away is he down shifting to brake or actually braking? It amazes me the control he had after slowing down because you still have some of that momentum going into those small turns to each the finish line.

I think he is braking a little bit after the top of the hill as he goes down, but he is still accelerating a tiny amount on the downhill, then he brakes a tiny amount, and then starts the first left turn of that last section before the finish line

Auto may be fast, but nothing will compare to the connection you have with the 6 speed manual. Love my ZL1 6M

Just watched this video with the street zl1 as i call it n i watched the track Z zl1 1le video before this, the street Z hit 181mph top speed n still was 13seconds slower, the 1le hit a top speed of 173mph, goes to show horsepower isnt everything these suspensions matched to solid torque & horsepower numbers are the sweet spot. Catch up ford 😂 🏁🏎️💨🏆

2018 ZL1 here…nope. The car goes into what is called a Performance Shift Algorithm under heavy acceleration or G forces in a turn. It’s pretty amazing. It keeps the car in it’s peak torque and power range. Best transmission I’ve ever driven. The car is a kitten until you stab the throttle…car goes into complete beast mode then. Alabama State Troopers can verify…lol They just thought those Chargers were fast.

​​@@99-Zulu The Z/28 ran a 7:37 in the rain. The engineers think that they could've gone 6 seconds faster in prime conditions. I bet the 6th Gen SS 1LE is within 5 or 6 seconds of the Z/28's best effort.
