2017 Dodge Durango oil change tutorial

I like saving money, here's a video on how to change your oil if you own a late model Dodge Durango. I checked online and couldn't really find a video I liked, so I did the millennial thing and made a top tier video.

I got the same exact car These oil change start at 80+ bucks over here in ny Ima start doing it myself I spent 40 and was able to change the air filter too.

How come you didn't change the oil filter? They arent designed to last more then one oil change. You would be amazed at how much oil pressure you will loose by making the misstake of reusing that dirty filter. I have two 2018 Durangos, one GT like you have with the v6 and a SRT v8. For what they cost for a new vehicle it's not worth cutting 8 to 10 bucks from the maintenance schedule and loose engine life and performance.........

Pit Bull Dad of 3 it’s a total preference call on that, certainly doesn’t hurt. I’ve got three family members at GM, seven at Ford and two at Chrysler, none agree which is the best car brand but all agree you don’t need to change your filter every time. Like you don’t have to change your oil every 3-4K miles. Ive changed my oil on all my cars, jeeps and wife’s Buick Encore every 8k and alternate every other for a filter for the last 10 years and haven’t had a problem yet (knock on wood).

If you change your oil every three to four thousand miles and you surely can skip the filter. But if you go 8 thousand miles you really should change the filter. That being said, if you're going to make a video on how to change the oil do the whole job.

Omg getting that oil filter cap off is damn near next to impossible. I used 15/16th socket and it kept slipping. I wasn’t aware the cap was plastic. Why would Dodge do this. PLASTIC? Fuck. To jiffy lube I go I guess

Question! So I just changed the oil on my 2018 Durango RT 5.7 V8 and I went with the Liqui Moly 5W-30 Molygen however I did 6.35 US quarts is that fine? Google says engine capacity is 7 US quarts 🙄
