Today, we are driving the new 2017 Ford Fiesta 1.1 85HP. The 1100 cc three cylinder na engine produces 86 hp and 110 Nm of torque. This car is equipped with a manual 5-speed gearbox.

The Interior of the new Fiesta is a nice upgrade which the previous Fiesta really needed. It was not a bad interior either of the previous Fiesta but everyone was complaining about the plastics that Ford used for the Fiesta mk7. This is also a way better interior than i thought and it's now comparable with a VW Polo or a Peugeot 208. Nice job from Ford!

ercf2 yea he let it bog down. wouldn't happen with the 1.0 ecoboost: solid torque from the off.

I've just taken delivery of a new Fiesta Titanium 1.1 85HP (62kW) and it's fine and does what I want! Trouble is that there is no information about this engine other than the power output. If in fact it is a 3 cylinder power unit and not 4 as described on some other sites, I'd be happy to learn about it. I live in Austria and it's absolutely insane that the Handbook and short Driver Manual that came with the car is for the previous model Fiesta and nothing correlates?????? When I asked if there had been a mistake I was told that it was still being translated into German and wouldn't be ready until September at the earliest???? What on earth were Ford thinking to allow this nonsense! Currently I've managed to find English on-line manuals but it's incredibly difficult using an on-line tablet in the car, if you can't get a good wifi connection!

Wow, that's really bad from Ford to translate a manual in such a late stage. The manual really should be available when the car launches and not in a later stage. All in all I hope you enjoy your new Fiesta. Good luck and have fun with your new car.

Zwei Sachen fallen mir auf: 1. offensichtlich geht die Lenkung relativ schwer gängig, denn du hältst sie immer mit zwei Händen 2. dem Motor reagiert schlecht aufs Gas Pedal, sodass die Drehzahl nicht zum folgenden Gang passt

Ich fahre genau diesen Fiesta seit ca 6 Monaten. Ich kann dir sagen, die Lenkung ist sehr direkt und geht leicht. Mit dem Motor hast du leider Recht. Die hohe Drehzahl sorgt auch für die laute Geräusch Kulisse. Auf der Autobahn ist es fast schon unerträglich, man kann seinen Beifahrer kaum verstehen.

How is the performance of the 85hp engine regarding acceleration? We have the MK7 with the 60hp engine and it's very slow :(

Personally I would go for the 100hp Ecoboost. The 85hp is definitely faster than the 60hp, but the 100hp version has a lot more torque at low rpm because of the turbo. The Ecoboost allows you to drive way more relaxed.

I have the 1.25 80 BHP engine, and its quite fast at times, but the ecoboost is probably a better engine more torque and more economical

That seems like quite a nippy engine but the 1.0 Ecoboost has terrific low down pull for such an engine. I'd buy a used 125 ecoboost previous gen.

If you go for the 100hp ecoboost, its in good interest to get it remapped because it gets upto the same 170hp as the 125 and even 140 do when rempaped! Getting a good money's worth there

The Ford is top notch when it comes to driving, but interior and exterior wise I like the Ibiza more. Besides that, the Ford actually needs the 1.0 Ecoboost engine, that makes it a perfect combo.

The 1.1 is only available as a Trend, the Ecoboosts are available as Titanium (Here in Holland)

@@RoadFanatic This is a Titanium. That big screen is only available with in the Titanium-lines.. Trend is without any sort of screen at all.. And I love that. :D
