I didn't feel safe at all when my 2011 Equus started having problem of unintended acceleration since August 2014. I had to apply brake to slow down the speed when it happened. Once I stopped the car and shifted to park, the engine revved over 7000 rpm with very loud engine noice. It happened twice again in late March 2015. I finally traded it in for 2015 Genesis 5.0. My Genesis 5.0 started to have problem too after 6 months with all warning lights turned on and no power steering. The service department finally replaced the speed sensors to fix the problem after I returned my Genesis twice for repair.

If anyone was interested in the flat spot in the grill? That is the state of the art radar for smart cruise crash and all around safety auto braking that no one has ever had the balls to test,. IT WORKS PEOPLE

As an avid automotive enthusiast that also carries a dealers license in the state of Kansas I can say with complete honesty my 2020 Genesis G90 Ultimate 5.0 AWD is by far the most exhilarating and well-built large luxury sedan I have ever owned. Mercedes, Bentley, Bmw, even Rolls-Royce luxury sedans, can’t compare to the build quality, luxury cosmetics, aesthetics, and overall vehicle value that you receive with this vehicle. It is my daily driver and performs better in snow than my 2015 G63 ÂMG !!! Love it!!!

German cars are really nice but wayyyyyy to expensive when bought new and wayyyyyy to costly for repairs when bought used,this GENESIS G90 for the money and all that you get,it just makes good common sense for me to purchase this car in the near future,it's time for me to get SMARTER and WISER as I get older and value my money a whole lot more than what I use to do,great overall car and great DETAILED review my man....

Have you had an issue with saggy leather ?? I'm in the market for a g90 and have heard some folks complain about the leather

@@joshuat3902 Never had any issues with the leather. Mine has 32,000 miles now. Only issue I have had is radio sound suddenly stops working, but after car is shut down for 5 minutes, all working again. This happens once every 2 or 3 months. Otherwise the car is sound.

my neighbor has 1, & I, was due to trade in. I, got mine in a silver bluish, I, got the all wheel drive, unlike my neighbor. the warranty is like no other. mine is the ULTIMATE, which has the V-8. Still breaking it in,but so far not dissatisfied. on the highway it's smooth as glass. great passing power. Let's see in the 2 years when I traded it in for.....great road sled for now.

For 2018, Hyundai made the rear entertainment system standard on the 5.0 ultimate. MotoMann TV stated the presence of massaging rear seats too ! Great video! Love this car (and your reviews :) Keep it up!

For a minute it was beginning to appear that every year a new genesis comes out something gets taken away from the customers. When the 2011 Equus hit it came with vibrating massaging seats all the way around the car plus a refrigerator a monitor and a reclining seat with the leg rest that folds from up under. The next year they took your vibrating seats away but one. The year after that they took you fridgerator away. The year after that they took the only vibrating seat you had left. A few years later it appear that they took away a little leg rustic that used to come from up under the seat. Lol...!🤣🤣🤣 then they took 9 horsepower from us. We have 429hp in the Equus and some of the early model Genesis but for a minute they left us with only 420hp and some of the models...WTF🤣🤣🤣! Now they did give us four wheel drive I will admit that. But in a couple of those Genesis models they take away the monitors plus the reclining seat all together🤔🤔🤔 and every year we let them charge us more money. That's why I'm only getting the Equus for now! I'll opt for a g90 in a few years maybe! Or I might just get an Audi a8. 420hp [No pun intended! I'm not trying to celebrate Hitler's birthday] 😑😑😑

goombakiwi how many Phaetons were sold in the US? The answer is not many at all. Also in regards to the Lexus in the 80s they were selling them ridiculously cheap just to gain traction. I expect Hyundai will need to do the same for a while. The car looks nice but they are going to have re-prove themselves in this new market. I think it was just a bit foolish naming the company after one of the Hyundai models personally, I think it would have been wiser to separate the two just a bit more.

The people who say this generally have never owned one or they bought a 90k dollar car when it's 15 years old and all clapped out for 2500 bucks and it breaks down because it's not been maintained. Buyer Beware !!! I purchased a 2019 Genesis G90 Ultimate. After owning it 4 months, the dash started to "bubble". I called a Genesis dealer close to me and they scheduled me an appointment. A month and a half into the future. Regardless, I patiently waited. The day came and they did valet the car. No one seems to have a "loaner" available ... ever. Anyway, the local dealer fixed the dash and returned the car to me. Well, as fate would have it, they broke the trim ring on the heads up display when putting the dash together. I call them and again, they schedule me an appointment again, a month and a half in the future. They came and picked up the car on the scheduled date and again, returned the car after replacing the trim ring. I drive the car and I notice that the LCD screen seems to have a white cloud over half the screen. It didn't move with the map nor move with screen info changes. Getting a little fed up with this apparently incompetent service department, I call them back to report the LCD screen. Yup, you guessed correctly, a month and a half to get the car in to look at the LCD screen. But now there's a catch. They will no longer Valet the car because I didn't purchase it from them. Wait, what ??? That's not what was promised by Genesis when I purchased the car. So, I call the dealer that I DID purchase the car from. They ask me to send pictures and I do. I never heard back. I call them, send pictures ... again. I don't hear back. I then call Genesis USA and get a representative. I tell him that if I wanted to be treated this bad by a dealer that I will just buy another BMW. He states that he'll call the dealer and get to the root of the issue then call me the next day. Guess what ? I never heard back from him either. So, guess what I did ? I SOLD THE DAMN CAR. I will NEVER purchase another GENESIS EVER. If you own a Genesis or plan to buy one do be aware that the dealers are not required to honor the valet nor the loaner car as promised buy Genesis USA. I was told that by the Genesis Rep. Crazy thing, I don't miss the car. Hmmm, what does that tell me..... Best of luck.
