Seriously tired of hearing people bitching that it needs more hp. This thing is about as fast as older SI models. It's fast for a base model car. If they made it faster there wouldn't be much point in an SI or Type R.

endocry it’s actually is faster than previous SI models! In Europe we don’t have SI option...You can buy a very expensive type r or affordable civic sport 1.5 vtec turbo 182hp...So basically “sport” is a replacement for “SI”=) In my country civic type r is around 53 000$...While civic sport 6MT starts from 26 000$

Tommy, you've really worked at becoming a great car reviewer since you joined TFL and it shows. I like the idea of you and Charlotte teaming up to do reviews much like how your dad and Nathan did when they started doing KZbin video reviews. Two areas of improvement: 1) Better mics as your current audio sounds a little tinny and flat while the audible steps (30 sec mark) when Tommy is walking around the car crackle and interfere with your vocals. 2) some b-roll shots of the car were underexposed. Try using a GND filter to balance exposure since it can be difficult in party cloudy days such as this one.

Great team review! Tommy is definitely improving his presentation skills and Charlotte seems to have a knack for it. I considered the Civic Hatchback Sport Manual but I was disappointed the radio has no Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and no Navigation upgrade option. So if you want a manual you're stuck with the basic radio or you have to get the CVT standard on the higher trims.

I find it sad how people can easily be so mean and insult the reviewers when this is a really good video. People don't understand how it takes hours to create a short video. People also need to stop insulting Charlotte just because she is a girl doesn't mean she doesn't know about cars. I've seen other videos with her and she knows just as much as any other guy car reviewer. I really think TFL is doing a great job. Keep up the good work TFL!

Sort of ironic that in the UK the Si model is a 1 litre 125 bhp model. Our Sport model is only 1 down from the Type R but has LED headlights with wash , Android Auto touch screen and digital dials. Plus in chip sees it to 230 ps too. Great review of practical side of car too

I have the 2016 ext sedan and seriosley love it.. Great mpg, decent power, and everyone that sees it tells me its such a beautiful car.. Civic is in the top of the class once again.. I also bought it with 5,000 miles and 2 grand less..

About the shifter: winding road magazine said that it was one of the worst honda shifter he ever driven. he ascertained a very plastic feeling shift points and it doesn't feel sporty at all compared to previous honda generations.

I bought mine two years ago by default meaning i loss my 2010 civic due to an incident destroyed my undercarriage which was the timing chain. the car was a total loss due to the mileage. I then purchased the civic sport with only 26k on the odometer fun car

Looks like a perfect car for a college student or young professional. On the dog front, the sloping fastback hatch may be an issue for vertical clearance with a big dog. I've done long road trips with a 75 pound lab mix in a Chevy Sonic hatchback on several occasions, but because the hatch was essentially vertical she was perfectly comfortable sitting up and looking around. Even though the Civic's cargo area is technically larger (25.7 cu ft vs. 19.0 cu ft), the shape can make a huge difference for canine comfort. Constructive criticism: you should include footage of both of you driving the cars for the team reviews. Enjoyed the video, look forward to your next one!

Great car. Nice review. Too bad you can't get safety features, heated seats or sunroof with manual transmission- ie need sport EX. Trunk is a bit small. Wheel sizes have gotten out of bounds for snow country. Use 16" wheels standard with larger wheels optional.

When Dodge stopped installing engine covers on my car, it was called "decontenting by the bean counters". When Honda does it, it's considered a good thing because you can "see what's going on". Ummm, what exactly are you seeing that's so visually appealing?

I know Honda is going for a "hot hatch" look, but am I the only one here that thinks the Civic Hatch is over styled? Personally, I like the far more subdued (but good looking) design of the Mazda 3 hatchback. It just feels like Honda tried too hard with this Civic.

My family and I have driven Hondas for many years--first Honda was a 1982 Accord hatchback so we go back a long way. My daughter, son-in-law, and I are now driving Accords while my wife and son are driving CRVs. The styling on the Civic is most definitely not to my taste and I hope the new Accord doesn't follow the Civic styling ques. The car looks like it was pieced together from parts of different cars by 16 year old Honda fan boys. The more I look at it the less I like it. I'm looking at Hyundai/Kia for my next car. Maybe an Elantra Sport.

shadowdragon007 they each have different sound and the SI has better flow and is a larger diameter pipe which allows the engine to breath and make more power. As far road noise, maybe yes maybe no. I haven’t driven the newest models but road noise was atrocious in these cars. The R also has totally unique pipes. I agree not ideal exhaust sounds. I redid mine myself.

Love the engine bay, you can actually see the engine! Wish it had dual zone climate control! Don't like the cup holders and I hate the carbon fiber interior! Need more info... FWD / RWD / AWD... 0 - 60 time... Top speed? Also, if you must get a dog, go to a shelter and save a life... But don't get a dog!
