I took the truck, trailer and tractor over the scales the last time I hauled it. 29,780 lbs. That was with a nearly empty fuel tank on the tractor (50 gallon tank). With a full tank of fuel in the truck and tractor I’d be just over 30,000 lbs.

Very nice.... any updates on the truck? Mods? Issues ?

I’m closing in on 19,000 miles with no real issues. I had an aftermarket LED headlight bulb short out and cause some temporary electrical issues. I swapped back to the halogen H11 low beams and put 9011 HIR bulbs in the high beams instead of the factory 9005 bulbs. With the 9011 you do have to trim one of the tabs on the bulb, but they are noticeably brighter than the factory high beams. I had the (N182188930-01) TSB done on my truck for the transmission cooler lines rubbing on the frame. Mine hadn’t rubbed through yet, but the dealer replaced them upon request because they were obviously rubbing pretty hard and would have eventually failed/rubbed through. testing-public.carmd.com/Tsb/Download/130993/5300335 Otherwise, I haven’t had any issues. It runs great, has plenty of power and gets pretty good MPGs for its size. I changed the transfer case fluid at about 16k miles and the drain plug magnet was pretty loaded, that seems to be pretty normal on these though. I think it needs changing at least every 20-30k miles, at least until the transfer case is well broken in. I plan to change the front and rear differentials soon to flush out the break-in wear metals. I think early fluid changes are important while things are breaking in.

Blake B that’s cool. I recognized 2168 turning left onto 127. I live just south of Danville

Phillip Reed That’s awesome. 2168 is the best thing they’ve done for the area. I don’t know how all the big rigs were getting through Danville before.

My friend did this with his isuzu 6.6 ricemax he made it to about 49k miles before the bone stock engine blew not bad considering he only towed twice a year 400 miles but go pedal to the floor on the couple little hills was probably not helping it servive. I tried telling him just because its a new stock diesel pickup truck doesn't mean you can hold the throttle to the floor and it won't blow up prematurely. Hes used to old Ford toyota chevy dodge international cat Cummins Detroit stuff

Stop lying lol I had a brand new Cummins spun a bearing not even 1k miles

@@jmg_2_slow74 look randy I don't lie. Any mass produced garbage from any of the global monopolies has a tendency to have failures also can be unrelated to how it was cared for. There's 5.7 vortecs that made it nearly half a million miles and some didn't make it 50k the heads cracked. My neighbors kid has 3rd gen Cummins and he's put more time money to shops repairing rebuilding, fixing and keeping that thing running than any power stroke I've seen and owned. Looks like the new 6.7 Cummins have wonderful valve , seat and fuel pump problems, makes sense that dodge changed the name to "Ram" anyone buying them maybe looking to get Ramed periodically or on a regular basis. New vehicles are unreliable overpriced disposable vacuous garbage
