Car Confections No the G90 has basically all the same stuff and is $10k cheaper. The Equus does too and it was $20k cheaper. The BMW 7 series on the other hand is worth its sticker price. Most of these luxury brands need to step up their featurs like BMW did because Hyundai is making people question the sticker price of most of these brands cars. Also the Equus and G90 also had the air vents in the back in the same place as this cars. Hyundai basically cloned this Lexus.

Nobody really needs all of this stuff. You can get plenty of stuff with even a Kia Cadenza limited. And it still has a touchscreen.

Awesome review! I have a 2013 Lexus ES350 with only 36k miles which I bought in April 2019 for only $18k with 30,009 miles. Amazing car, build quality is remarkable. Best car I’ve ever owned! This LS is truly amazing. Only thing that would turn me away is premium gas. My ES 350 takes regular with the V6 and I’m averaging over 30 mpg on highway! I would never buy an LS 460 new, then again I would never buy any car new. Right now you can get a decent 2013 LS 460 for probably mid to upper 20 K depending on mileage and condition.

After owning a Camry I decided I deserved a Lexus. So I spent 6 months looking at used Es 350's. I couldn't find the right one and could not make a decision. Then I saw the LS460 and realized it was the car I'd wanted all along. After less than two months looking, bought a 2017 w 69,500 miles. It cost $36,500. Rear drive and no air suspension. Never owned a car so high quality and reminded you of that every minute driving it. I'm also very surprised at the occasional admiring looks I get in the car - (I know I didn't suddenly become good looking so it has to be the car).

Great review, Car Confections! I believe the LS is a good entry in the large luxury sedan class. Saying it is a great entry, though, is definitely stretching it. It is a strong player in certain areas (reliability, space, comparable luxury amenities, etc.) while, in other areas it's is definitely showing its age (sunroof, gauge cluster, styling from certain angles, etc.)! It could use another inch or two of front legroom for the driver. I think the L version has more seat travel for the driver (or at least it seemed that way when I sat in both). Toyota and Lexus are always cheap with legroom in front. Hyundai has more, so does Mercedes.

The 2017 shown didn't have the air suspension option which the 2013 does. I deliberately avoided used cars with the air suspension installed due to the large numbers of used LS's with air suspension issues.

Im glad they got rid of that V8 in the new 2018! V8s are WAY too overpowered for a sedan. But I wish they had kept the original touchscreen that was present at the beginning of the 4th gen. Also, stay away from a black interior if it gets very hot where you live!
