I have a 2016 Hellcat Charger. It's a lot of fun to drive. If you want a car that is rewarding from the standpoint of a light chassis with incredible feedback, that's called a Miata or Evo X (stripped down of course). No AMG (and I've driven many) can touch a light-weight well tuned chassis two seater any more than the Hellcat can. But my Hellcat Charger puts a smile on everyone's face and carries 4 people (or even 5) in total comfort. It's a great family car that car enthusiasts love for being so purely silly. 707 HP and tall folks like me actually fit the Hellcat. Most critics of either car haven't driven either car and the bottom line? They're both tons of fun!

No room in the AMG for me at 6'3. The infotainment system in the Hellcat is FAR better as well. Try these cars out to see which driving position you prefer. The AMG looks more upscale, but the Hellcat has better ergonomics.

People are built differently. I fit fine in Audi S6, but NOT in the MB. My Hellcat is very roomy and comfortable for me, but I also tried to drive my friend's Vette and found it way short on legroom, but he's the same height as me. Pick what works for you.

I agreed. Hellcat 🇺🇸 I owned German cars all my life. But the hellcat intrigued me. I really enjoyed driving my challenger hellcat. It doesn't take much get up to tripe digit mph. I've learned to treat it with respect the power after I got into a small accident on the freeway. Going on the freeway rode over a piece of tire. Damage the front end. I did not realized I was going tripe digits. Due to its comfort, stability and big mass. I felt more on the road on my GT3RS than the challenger. Dodge did a great job on this model. 🇺🇸👍🏻👍🏻

Detmer it's more refined. Id choose it over the hellcat if I wanted to use it as a daily. But you got to understand that the merc is a lot more expensive and will cost more to maintain also. And most people buy muscle cars to have fun in them. As a weekend toy id go for the hellcat. And with the extra 20k I can use it to mod the bad boy and fuel him.

Honestly both cars have their flaws. The Mercedes will be a financial chore to repair and crazy to own without a warranty. The Hellcat has an old chassis and some cost cutting was clearly done. My honest opinion would be to buy the Hellcat because of the resale value those things have and the guaranteed collector's value they will have. I like the Mercedes but I could only lease it and turn it back in when the lease is up. Both are nice cars and both are great choices.

The C63 is worth every single penny extra over the Hellcat. It handles significantly better, the build quality is very much higher, the exterior and interior design alone make it worthwhile, and the biggest factor of all, it's refined and balanced. The Hellcat simply cannot put any power down at all without any modification to the tires, which basically defeats the purpose of having all that power when cars with substantially less horsepower could easily run laps around it in many circumstances. It truly is a brute, stupid car.

I just read most of the comments...SHEESH! Lots of frustrated magazine racers here who don't have real experience with either car. SO here's a tip from someone with actual experience: BOTH of these cars are a great deal of fun. The Mercedes is more refined, but the Hellcat is the faster brute on the open road. As he says, the MB is more sorted, yet the Hellcat is angry fun with 707 HP that CAN be used as you climb into the triple digits. Roman has been enjoying the Hellcat for a while now and like most people who drive one, it puts a smile on his face every time. The MB is a TOTALLY different type of car that can fly under the radar. Both are awesome. I chose the Charger Hellcat. It's over-the-top fun.

I love this new MB C63 S but the ONLY thing that I hated about it that it look like a Honda Accord Coupe which came out before this C63 S. I was hoping for a car that is close to $100k fully option it will look unique. Mercedes V12 biturbo engine is still being used with few changes since 90s ... You want the major drive train components well sorted out otherwise you are being the guinea pig. It is not like Dodge is using old used parts left over from early 2000s ... Only the chassis is being originated from the times of Mercedes merger. Extra weight of chassis helps the snow traction and safety when you head on hit with any of the HD pick up trucks.

I'm not going to lie, that M-B is a beautiful and great car and I'm a Hellcat owner, but having said that, I know and understand exactly what he was talking about with the Dodge and his reason he likes it more. The M-B price is a little ridiculous, but interior is on another level. I would take one no doubt, but the ultimate reason I actually could care less about it is because there is no manual option. That alone puts zero interest in that car for me. I would go ATS-V or M3 comp package over that. I also disagree with him saying the manual Hellcat is undrivable. It is more undeniably hella fun! I enjoyed the video though. 2 great cars!

I think it would be a much better comparison between the 2016 Camaro SS and the C63. They are similar is size and weight and power numbers even though the is Twin turbo and the SS is naturally aspirated.

90K for the AMG? I've got a 2018 exactly like that one without the exterior CF ordered for 81K. Had a 2008 SRT Challenger blown by John Hennessey and trading in my third GT500 for the C63S. ALL loads of fun but ready to move to something a little more refined. Great video by the way ...

Peder Hansen 25 years is exaggerated.. You don't buy a muscle car for refined chassis and comfort. You buy it for noise and fun. And the hellcat delivers all that for a good price. For me hellcat is a true muscle car. The c63 is more like a very powerful yet refined sport car. Two completely different beasts. Both formidable

Ok honestly you can’t compare these cars, they are too different in different ways, the interior is impeccable in the AMG, but the power in the hellcat is incomparable to any car, and their looks are so different, anyone who wants a car that looks like it’s going to straight up kill you, then the hellcat is the one for you, but if you’re looking for something more luxurious then the AMG is the one for you, personally I love the Challenger, it’s always been my favorite car ever since I was a little kid, but the AMG is super cool as well. I think a better comparison would be a Camaro Zl1 1le vs the AMG

Nice review, however, the roads you did this on look rocky and dirty. That could be done better. Also, the Dodge has a torque converter trans while the AMG has the DCT which explains the better shifts.

Here's an indication of S Class pedigree. I drive a 1986 560SEc Eurospec. 300 HP naturally aspirated V8. i drive this car with so much joy and reliance and a staunch feel of bank vat security and look/feel and this feeling of being top dog. Almost nothing compares to an S Class. In fact, I dont think anything does. This comparison is a joke and anyone here comparing the two that is claiming to boost American muscle in favor of the Dodhe, secretely knows that if offered one or the other totally gratis. They would choose the Benz.

The Hellcat does not worth it from where i live in Dubai, C63 AMG S coup on other hand is way more reliable and also it has way more better warranty from dealerships around UAE.. and if im going to buy dodge Hellcat 2017 i have to wait until on may of 2017 or June unlike Mercedes Benz you can get it right way ..
