It's so refreshing to see a trainer who didn't push to be undersaddle "in time". You let her come to terms with stuff on her own schedule while still pushing the right amount. I think your back up was beautiful and honestly I respect that she backed up because of YOUR body language. She was super respectful and I loved seeing how quiet she was, especially in the fitting/showmanship. She looked fantastic overall. She looks like she could be part paso fino.

kathryn schallywag What the fuck would you know about horses ?
@lydiabrown80175 жыл бұрын
My guess as well...her size and heavier neck gave her away. Pasos have a real sturdy conformation like a wellbred mountain horse with a low, "daisy clipping" gait that is so easy to ride. Nothing like the big TWH "rocking horse" movements or very animated, showy gaits of a saddlebred. There is a lot of Spanish gaited breeds found in the bloodlines in most mustangs if you go back far enough.

I had purchased a mare here in Ocala from some Latin people, she is out of Top Sail Whiz blood line. I have had her for over 5 years and to this day she is unpredictable frightened. She flights over one thing one day, the next time she is fine and then the next time she flights. She distrust men. My husband whom grew up in Wyoming and now having Parkinsons from Agent Orange does not have the stamina to work with her. She needs so much attention that I am unable to give her, but I can not sell nor give her to just anybody. We are afraid she will hurt someone inexperienced. So kudos to you to be able to train her and find her a fairy tale life. A frightened horse are the hardest to train.

I love watching all your videos, love your methods, love the way yours and Isidros methods complement each other... largely because of you I have adopted my own Mustang who will come to me in June. As a lifetime horsewoman, training a wild mustang is one of the only things I haven’t done. Using positive methods, clicker training where you can and letting the horse sometimes choose or not where appropriate, you have demonstrated techniques that obviously work for you and these techniques are ones I totally believe in myself. Thank you for what you do for mustangs, and for sharing everything you put into them with us here through video.

What a wonderful story! So refreshing hearing your general attitude, training approach, and especially your compassion and patience! Ive been around alot of trainers of all kinds, and not all of them half your heart, or push them to make it by a certain date.However, I do understand though the horse business can be a very tough one and often its feast or famine. There does seem to be something special about her....maybe its her survival attitude and it just shines through her? Watching the 2 of you bond was heartwarming as well.Thank you for sharing. After raising horses for 36 years, I knew about all your steps and what all it takes, and you did everything perfect in my book...FOR SURE A top 10! Because of you, she now has a wonderful life and who knows what may have happened to her otherwise. Thank you for saving her.

She's gorgeous! I'm so glad you had so much patience for her. I'm originally from Nevada and we had bands of Mustangs all around the area. Outside of city limits they had the pens that to me were horrible. They were always so full and with a purchase of just 100.00 at the time (I don't know how much it is now) there were certainly those who bought these amazing animals with nefarious intent. This program is just wonderful. I wish so much I was in a position to participate too! ❤
