The thing about the Z cars is that they are obtainable, rear drive, well balanced, torquey, attractive, fun cars. That's the allure.

Nice review. I have owned a bunch of cars over the past 40 years. Had a daily which I needed to get rid of and took a test drive in a base 370, loved it, bought a 6 speed, sport trim, black on black, 2020 with zero miles for $30k even. It is my Sunday fun day ride. Other than wishing it had another 100 hp and torque, I have zero complaints. Stillen supercharger is possibly in my future! If you like to drive, don't need the tech, these are great.

The left gauge in the pod is for oil temperature.

Hey Zac! I’ve been watching your channel for a while and these old style videos are quite nice to have. Thanks for keeping it up over these years!

I'm buying one with 50kmiles for 18k. Is this a good price?

Putting aftermarket gauges in the top center is not an easy upgrade (you have to destroy the existing ones), and they are there as homage to the original 240Z. Blank console buttons are heated seats for the convertible and trunk release from MY18. Some background research would help you improve.

That middle blank button would have been the trunk release on the Nismo

1stly, awesome review, especially your personal thoughts about "good cars vs great cars!" I m a female driver who lives in Canada which has long winters than summer weather. Do u believe this car can be ok for a whole year driving or is it only meant for summer driving? I prefer to only have 1 car.

It is a torquey RWD sports car so You will have to be careful with how much power you give it. Put on snow or all weather tires though and you can definitely do it. If a trim has seat warmers that would help.

This version is so outdated that all of the Nissan "updates" are now useless and are nearly ignored even with the starting price of the 2019 370Z at 30k . If an all new Z does not soon surface then Nissan will lose the opportunity for the introduction of the next Z to coincide with the 1969 anniversary of the 240Z. ...Nissan needs to return to a smaller engine ,more affordable version with an under 30k starting price. The technology exists for a nice DOHC inline 6 of ~2.0 to 2.4 liters, VVT, direct injection, high compression, dual exhaust ,maybe a turbo). Heck, they could even use the newest variable compression (VC) 4 cylinder engine out of the latest Altima. Chasing ever larger engine size and higher horsepower "numbers" are not the answers. This car has always been about affordability and value for the price. A smaller 6 (or even 4 cylinder) would help to keep the price down . Now is the time for the Z to return to its roots. and BTW- this is coming from someone who previously owned a 1972 240Z.( 1979 to 1981).

Wow Nissan is really unfortunate not to have you as their CEO since you know so much
