Great work. Your efforts to make a highly complicated research into a simpler explanation for the sake of common is highly appreciated. A little bit more time could have been invested when you deal with the three kinds of genes .Thank you very much.Kindly post a lecture about plants , circadian rhythms and phytochromes.

Let them write a theory paper on why unborn babies have clear circadian rhythms that don't always match their mother in a dark lightless womb for almost a year. Most, nearly all babies have to be "broken" onto a "normal" schedule despite regular light exposure. Sometimes they never "break". And why DSPD people do just fine IF they get back on their own (non-insomnia) full night sleep that they can only achieve on their own natural circadian rythm that proves by their good/improved health that the "normal/typical" circadian sleep schedule can be detrimental to good health. Why they believe that Delayed Sleep pattern is a disorder and not a difference. How the Earth would go round if every creature and flora only produced clones. Why they promote differences as disorders when all the Different need is to be allowed to not live backward their entire existence because if it was a disorder they would not function betterbut they do. It's "cured" by not being oppressed. These "nobles" don't care what's true or not so long as they're able to receive noble glory now and will be dead before truth can be thrown in their face. Sickening. Mixing True with False for adoration and title falsely earned. I wonder if those deceased first pioners of circadian rythm would approve of the exploitation of their sincere hard work. These off the backs of truly devoted men.

@@CuriousCat0347 I love the points you made! Thanks for your support. We see no one's trying to make the moon shine it's brightest during daylight or calling nocturnal species disordered. I read an article a few years ago on the spleep patterns of ancient people. It said they had what they used to call something like "a second night". It explained their days were split in half, each half having wake and sleep, so one day would have: Sunrise - wake, sleep, wake - Sunset- sleep , wake, sleep - Sunrise. It mentioned that modern sleep schedules we use today were imposed by industry more so at the industrial revolution. The industrial revolution also imposed changes in the ways meals were prepared and eaten, as well as things like coffee to forse-wake the mind and body, very scientifically planned out and implimented on the commoners. The historical split sleep pattern/schedule was the true natural rhythm, allowing the brain and body to correctly rest, restore and reset itself on it's own terms which had far greater complete health benefits. The moon is as powerful as the sun in its own properties, it's causes tides, grows fungi and other essential flora, arouses certain species so that the earth is never imbalanced by every living thing being awake and sleeping altogether at the same time... in this way, the earth never sleeps, nor the sun, nor the moon... they Rest. Rest is also like yeilding or giving another it's turn. Humans have forgotten their humility and purpose/position/role among all the other that exist. Now he selfishly dominates his fellows and all the rest... to their and his own oblivious injury. And... genes can change or switch on/off over time, so if we lived as long as the Very Ancients used to we might have lived to see ourselves and others change (or hand over their Turn to another for a Term) the sleep schedule/rhythm. Ugh, don't get me goin' ! Thanks again, I enjoyed your comment! Especially the point about the flexibility of sleep requirements affected by choices, Activities, etc. ... Someone I knew once said sleep is like a tax collector am I not ask you to pay back immediately but it will never forgive your debt you will have to pay up eventually. If we slept when we needed to and not on some schedule we wouldn't be in debt and miserable. The system doesn't allow us to sleep when we need to for as long as we need to... It's why we always feel at least a little hungover everyday.

Great video, nicely explained. Thank you for that. I am into researching how Circadian Rhythm in especially plants work, for a masters course I participate. What do you think are the major differences to the animals Circadian Rhythms?
@SimpleBiologist
@SimpleBiologist 6 жыл бұрын
That's a really interesting research topic! I would imagine that plants have an even more exaggerated difference between day and night since they depend on light for their food. I would think that there's a sequence of events that would have to take place every dawn and dusk to prepare the plant for night and day, and I'm not sure how much of that process is light driven versus circadian rhythm driven. Unfortunately more scientists study animals than plants, but there's got to be some research on whether plants still display circadian rhythm based molecular changes even without the sun. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I wish you the best of luck with your research!

Which influence have circadian rhytm on people? What use is it ? (Sorry for my bad english)
@SimpleBiologist
@SimpleBiologist 5 жыл бұрын
No worries about the English! Circadian rhythm plays a role in almost everything in your life. When you sleep and wake up, how alert you feel in general, when your liver regenerates, your sense of time passing, etc. You can feel the effects of defying your circadian rhythm any time you travel more than a couple time zones. An extreme change (such as a 12 hour difference) can make you feel mentally and physically ill.

Remember!!! This was 6 years ago... I would add these truths to whatever these scientists Discovered... My Energy isn't Sunlight/Bright Light Driven. It's Driven by my Mind Working to Achieve or Accomplish Something From the Minute My eyes Open at any time of day. I'm not tired in the afternoon just because some scientist says it's "RHYTHMIC" by Nature. Plus... Desert Dwellers Aren't Most Active in the Sun because it's 120° out there... so they do better in the shade of tents. Circadian Rhythms are as Individual as the Person...I am awake for 20 hours on some days if I'm on a Creative Roll... Einstein Slept about 3-4 hours a day whenever he felt the need. Some people have rigid routines... I have Fundamental Foundations... I Don't Have to Repeat the Same Day Over & Over ad Nauseam... Every Day is New...& I Don't Need Sunlight To Energize me...I get my Sunlight When it's Available.

Hmmm... Maybe a little of both? People definitely react differently to varying amounts of sleep, like I need a full 8 hours to function like a human adult. Could be tied in? Would need more research to know for sure.

I would say the circadian rhythm is a modification, that means it depends on the environment, living conditions, etc. That should explain why some people have worse jet lag than others (Modificability ruled by the genes). So the way you live decides your cycle, rather than the other way around. Please tell me if I'm wrong
@terrepus9856
@terrepus9856 4 жыл бұрын
@@G0dlol The circadian rythm is almost constant but you can shift the period with a "Zeitgeber". A "Zeitgeber" is basicaly factors which we recieve through our sensory organs such as eyes, ear, skin and so on. So an example for a Zeitgeber is the day and night cycle. First semester of neurobiology, so correct me if i am wrong.

I don't understand when somebody who is locked in a dark room (no access to sun or moon) eventually loses all track of time. What am I missing here. Confused lol
@SimpleBiologist
@SimpleBiologist 5 жыл бұрын
Your mind is a powerful thing and you can definitely overcome your circadian rhythm. My Dad works night shift which goes against the natural rhythm for humans. Some of my friends have pulled all-nighters to get work done, which also skips your rhythm. If you were in a relaxed state in that dark room and not totally freaking out, you might notice that you get sleepy at certain times and feel hungry at others. Unfortunately, your mind craves information and you can easily lose a lot when you don't have it. This video is about circadian rhythm on a molecular scale and how your cells keep track of time. How you actually experience the world and time might feel quite different.

@@SimpleBiologist completely agree! We do have lots of external outputs that react with the chemistry of the brain. Coffee, alcohol, weed, antidepresors, sleeping pills. We all have to find the way to balance our own experience! I find in Hatha Yoga which actually means this. Sun and Moon and the balance of the endocrine, respiratory, muscular, nervous and cardiovascular systems through different technics and physical practices.
