A classic among classics, the 2017 Porsche 911 gets some light tweaking on the outside and big changes to the power plant. Turbos for everyone! Tom Voelk reviews the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet model.

I just got a 991.2. For those who think you can't afford it.... YOU CAN. You might need to ace out the girlfriend, but i don't make much and i slide the sled. Used of course, one owner and you can do it. Every miles a Smile. Great review like always.

I enjoy this type of video because of it's practical, down to earth style minus all the superficial hype and typical overengineered production of other car reviews. Good job.

Wow great review! I didn't know the front had active areo. Plus I share you same enthusiasm for the mid engined platforms over the rear engined 911. It's a great car, but there's a certain playfulness of the mid engined cars that often gets overlooked because of their lack of pedigree.

Great review, camera work and editing. Need a white board !?! The 911 is awesome, but that coffee cup over the center stack, crazy. I think Porsche has done a great job with the new turbo's in the 911's - they have done their best to keep the sound, avoid lag and get better numbers. Yes, there is some fun in having to out an engine to get the power/torque, but near instantaneous torque is useful in daily driving. Look forward to the 718 reviews.

my dad has this car with the white with red convertible roof PDK 2017 carrera s and idk what's the 0-60 and the quarter mile of this car. Can someone tell me the 0-60 and 1/4 mile of this car pls?

Honestly if I had tons of money I think I would have about 3 911s. There's so many trim levels it's impossible to pick one!

KingRichard speedster, targa, coupe, cabriolet, gt2, gt3, carrera 4, carrera s, turbo. I would buy all of them. Espacially the speedster is my favorite!

Interesting, Motor Trend just posted an article "Watch a Spec Miata Embarrass a Porsche 911 on Track". It's always a good day when one spots rare & cool cars. One of the advantages in living in California are those sunny weekends that just brings them out in the open. My wife even jokes about me checking cars more than women. Still, I envy your job.

Great review. I think if I was getting a Porsche I'd get the Boxster with the PDK. There's just something about driving with the top down. Of course I live in LA and you're up there in Seattle, so........LOL.

I wish there was some way to get a GT3 NA 9000rpm engine in a 4 seater 911. That's what the GTS should be in my opinion, but no they all have these bloody twin turbos now. There's no way to get a NA engine in a 4 seater 911 anymore...

Tom, the car suits you! What about that back seat...? Curious if toddlers or children can fit back there and then I saw the wind shield pop up medieval torture device style.
@DrivenCarReviews8 жыл бұрын
Kids will fit back there, they're flexible. Think of the wind blocker as a way to discipline them...

I would much rather have either the Targa or regular version of the 911. The lines are much better on those cars. If I had to get a convertible Porsche, it would be the Boxster.

Other than the legend status of the 911 name, it’s getting difficult to justify the advantage of a 911 over a Cayman/Boxster…..especially when you factor in the price.
@neobourgeoischristum55407 жыл бұрын
911 cab looks awful and the driver looks awful too rolling down the street. The elegant top line of the design is lost with the textile roof. Huracán Spyder looks badass with the top down, that will be my second car.
