HI from Italy I'm a lucky owner of this bike, I got finally it in the shop on 30th March and it's still there waiting for the plate and overall for battery replacement as well as Suzuki said. I think I'm gonna ride it next week and yes..... it's amazing! unfortunately the dealer made by itself the unboxing, without my permission, I told him I would have made but.... I'm then waiting for testing and waiting for Yoshimura also, in Italy it's not available at the moment as the seat cover too.

how many years do you have to ride to be able to ride a 1000 in England?

None. If you're over 24 then you do the Direct Access Scheme to get a full "A" license then you can ride whatever you want.

So... when you're 24 you can do a direct access course, which basically gives you a full license and you can ride whatever. However if you're not 24, you have to be riding on an A2 license for 2 years before you can do your A (full license). However... if you're NOT 21 (the age you can do the A2 course with no prior experience), you have to be riding on a CBT for 2 years before you can do your A2 license and you also have to be at least 19. - There is also an A1 course, its a waste of money, don't do it. So heres an example, little Jimmy wants to ride a bike, he is 16. At 16, Jimmy can do his CBT for £120, so Jimmy does his CBT and gets a 50cc scooter. Now when Jimmy turns 17 he can buy a 125cc Motorbike (which is what he does). Jimmy has been riding his 125cc motorbike for two years now and he has finally turned 19. Bearing in mind he had to redo his CBT at 18 because it only lasts 2 years... (the money grabbing bastards). Jimmy is now 19 so he can do his A2 license for £600+, Jimmy passes his A2 with flying colours and can now ride motorbikes which can be restricted to 47bhp (Any bike that has an original bhp of 94 or below). Jimmy has now been riding his restricted SV650 for two years and has just turned 21... now Jimmy can pay another £600+ and do the exact same test he did at 19 except on a more powerful bike, he passes with flying colours, can now ride any bike he wants to...... and is now broke. Jimmy feels fucked in the ass... they didn't even buy him dinner first.
