Demio diesel produces 105hp and 250Nm of torque while swift rs produces 110hp and 170Nm of torque, so in terms of horse power the swift is higher but in terms of torque demio diesel is better, now torque is what is more important because it enables the car to move off the line as well as aid in overtaking but we also have to factor in power to weight ratio, the demio weighs around 1130kgs while the swift rs around 1025kgs so the demio has more torque but its heavier by around 105kgs which is quite significant, so practically there shouldn't be such a big difference in terms of which one is faster though the demio is very marginally faster
