2017 Triumph Street Triple RS TEST RIDE & SOUND

Test Ride of the 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS made thanks to the Triumph dealership of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy.
This bike has a fantastic sound, even with the stock exhaust. Torque and power are delivered in a very linear way and without voids in any part of the rev range. It's both agile in slow corners and stable in the fast ones. The traction control is a bit invasive in sport mode, but probably it can be set as you like.

Ciao! Venendo da una Ducati, per quanto un pò vecchiotta, e avendo avuto un'altra Ducati nel passato, sono abituato alla ciclistica delle europee, che è più rigida e precisa, anche se meno confortevole. La Triumph e la MT 09 se la giocano, perché se l'inglesina ha, secondo me, la ciclistica tanto migliore (è anche vero che stiamo parlando della RS), il motore della MT 09 mi ha fatto innamorare, sopratutto come erogazione della coppia.

Thanks for your concern mate, but the overtake was finished before the corner, and since it was a right/left I could see if there were cars coming. I have to say I never risked a head on collision in recent years (when I was 16 and had a 125cc sometimes it happened)

Couldn't watch more than the first few minutes as I think your road positioning going around those bends is awful as you are leaning right over the centre line into oncoming traffic risking a head on and your style of riding is all jerky not smooth. There are lots of better riders doing reviews.

Thanks for your comment. As far as the positioning on the road, i try to stay as inside the corner as I can, always watching the exit, if there is something coming from the other direction i can straighten the bike without problems (I never risked a head on this way). If I were more on the left I would have less space for corrections. About the riding style, mainly the on/off on the throttle, you're totally right. I'm working on the throttle management, but with new bikes I don't always get used to the response in the time I have. I know there are better riders doing (and not doing) reviews and I try to listen to any advice given, so really, thanks for your feedback! :)

You know what? You were right. Today I was riding and in a left corner there was a car coming the other way that was wide (the tires were over the line). I managed to correct but it was risky. I also managed to be a lot steadier on the throttle. Thanks again for the advice :)

I only had the bike for 15/20 minutes, so I had to make the best of it and unfortunately there was a bit too much traffic. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and obviously I was joking about the Canadians. Cheers!
