Des is a good man. I have learned so much from Des re: salvation by grace thru' faith in Jesus. I was raised SDA and raised our sons SDA. Only salvation by works was preached in my day, 1950s thru 80s and 90s till I heard this man preach in late 90's in a Bible Congress that he had in Auburn, Ca. There I heard about grace, & that I was saved by accepting Jesus & salvation by grace alone, by faith alone by and by scripture alone, I was suddenly alive again. I had felt dead and doomed in my religion before that. Thank God for Desmond Ford.

I consider Des to be a friend. I have being watching his videos with great interest and appreciation for his Christ-centered approach to scripture interpretation. I'm a lifelong SDA, and I truly love my church, however I can't blindly follow a erounous doctrine. May the Lord bless and keep you Dess

the S.D.A. church is in error on any time prophesies because they use the Gregorian calendar. The bible uses Gen. 1:14. the first day of the month starts on the new moon the next day is the first work day every seven days 1 quarter month each quarter is 7 days apart.read Lam. 2:6 and Col 2:16 Jesus kept the Sabbath holy by hiding it from a prophane people who were doing all there devil worship read Lam.from the begining. Sorry, you can't find the Sabbath even if you wanted to.Lev. 23:5 would be impossible for Moses if he used the Pope Gregory (Gregorian) calendar. Or the Gen. 1:5 calendar post Lam. 2:6

Desmond Ford hastened to the prophecy re "Messiah the Prince would usher in atonement for sin "; in Daniel 9:24.....But ignored when Messiah the Prince would "atone for iniquity".... ....Messiah would atone for iniquity after seven weeks and threescore two weeks"...and cannot be ignored ..given the many false messiah's at the time. The fact as to when Messiah the Prince is to appear is also specially significant...and significant enough to bring eastern holy men asking "where is he that is born king of the Jews"... And the eastern holy men would only have known of the prophecy of Daniel ...the long dead head of Nebuchadnezzar's magis. These dates; and without which Simeon would not have been waiting expectantly at the temple for Messiah's eighth day circumcision... And again the dates are all encripted in the prophecies of Daniel. Desmond Ford; and as a consequence of not explaining the dates to expect Messiah; and Messiah's giving relevance to the prophecy of Daniel' prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple....is in gross error, in ignoring the portion of the prophecy including the dates that Messiah would be associated with; and in identifying Messiah; and only the Messiah prophesied in the prophecy of Daniel.

Every doctrine of the Seventh Day Adventist Church pertaining to time is in error because they use the Papal Solar calendar when the bible uses a lunar calendar.The Passover was always on a full moon see DA chapter "In The Garden" pp 1 The Gregorian doesn't bear that out. only the lunar calendar puts the Passover and full moon on the same day every year.

Which is EXACTLY why the SDA GC will never confess their errors, let alone they will never offer an apology to Ford, Cottrell, Fletcher, Conradi, Ballenger, Canright et al and admit they were correct. There's way too much at stake. The SDA GC will never do away with Fundamental Belief #13 (the remnant), #18 (the gift of prophecy) or #24 (1844/Sanctuary/Investigative Judgment doctrine). Those 3 Fundamental Beliefs functions as 3 legs on a bar stool. You remove one of them, the stool collapses to the ground. In addition, the SDA Church is a multi-BILLION dollar business, in their most recent statistics raking in US $3.2 billion in tithe/offering money during 2016 (see page 5 below), let alone the numerous amount of assets the GC owns in the form of real estate, multi-billion dollar stock portfolio on Wall Street etc.: documents.adventistarchives.org/Statistics/ASR/ASR2018.pdf The SDA GC had two chances to admit their errors and start afresh with minimal damage: 1) at the 1919 GC where it was admitted that EGW was a fraud and 2) Glacier View in 1980. In 1980, SDA denomination only had about 3-4 million members worldwide. Now, they have 20 million and multiple times more assets than they did 4 decades ago. There's way too much to lose, and another reason why the GC have specifically been targeting websites from ex-SDAs exposing Ellen White. If the SDA GC were to admit that 1844 is crap, EGW is a fraud or the SDA Church isn't the remnant church (and is no more unique than the other Saturday worshiping groups such as Seventh-Day Baptists, COG 7th day, offshoots of Armstrongism etc.), the entire church organisation would collapse, there would be a massive exodus of members, the tithe/offering coffers would take a massive hit, and the White Estate would lose millions in book sales. Also, the SDA Church has the second largest educational, health and medical system in the world (after the Catholic church). Any admission of guilt or doctrinal error would have a devastating impact. However, the SDA GC is dealing with a trend they won't want to give much emphasis to the church members. Of every 100 people who get baptized into the SDA Church, 49 of them leave, more than DOUBLE what it was 25 years ago. Growth in Adventism is being artificially propped up by growth in third-world nations in Africa/Latin America/Asia etc since Glacier View. TheA, You are right ! The SDA church has to trickpeople by lies and deliberate misconceptions presented to them in so called "Revelation Seminars ". I bet if they told people that they perform abortions for profit in Adventist hospitals it would be a shock to those who've been told they " keep the Ten commandments ". No abortions are ever performed in Catholic hospitals. Does the SDA church really need to make blood money from abortions to print more copies of The great controversy?

When the SDA GC guidelines were given to the SDA members in the early 1970s (before it became official church policy in 1992), abortion only in rare situations were permitted, such as the complications in pregnancy which affect the life of the mother, pregnancies in cases such as rape and incest etc (the % of abortions due to these situations combined is very small, as the large majority of abortions are obviously on-demand/elective). It was explicitly stated in the document that on-demand/elective abortions were not approved nor condoned. However, what wasn't told to the members was that doctors at SDA hospitals were given a DIFFERENT set of guidelines, which did allow abortion for whatever reason (i.e. on-demand/elective). So, whilst the church members were being required to adhere to the stricter GC policy, thousands of on-demand/elective abortions in SDA hospitals were being performed. Now, because of the massive stink that conservative SDAs caused in the decades after finding out what was happening in SDA hospitals, last year the SDA GC was forced to revise the guidelines to re-affirm a stronger stance against on-demand/elective abortions. However, once again, it means absolutely nothing since the SDA hospitals are not required to adhere to this. And I recently spoke to someone who was married to an SDA and he told me that his ex-wife works at an SDA hospital where on-demand/elective abortions are still performed. So, this double-speak pattern still continues to this day in SDA.

They will carefully tailor their answers to a question depending on who the audience is and their background. The level of brainwashing, mind control and cult indoctrination (it's a well-known fact that hundreds of SDA pastors have been trained in NLP, which is a covert form of hypnosis, for the past 3 decades or so) that some of these men use on the congregation would make Scientology proud. L Ron Hubbard could only hope to achieve 10% of what the SDA denomination has in this area!

He confronted the S.D.A. leadership and it was suggested that he shut up and sit down .he left for awhile then came back later.If the S.D.A.'s used bible calendation it would fall hard. all teaching on time prophesy is way off. And by the way Jesus kept the Sabbath holy Lam. 2:6 Col 2:16.
