No side curtain airbag in a car from 2020? That's just crap. Also, what's with all the frontal airbags deploying in a 9 mph frontal crash test, and there not being occupant sensors on the airbag? (The passenger airbag is turned off by the crash test facility in the small overlap test, but it does go off in the bumper test). It seems that, in terms of car safety, Chinese standards are about at the level that the USA and Europe were at in 2005. January 7, 2020 8:28 pm

Ujw Gaming I saw that too. I bet the airbag programming is different in Chinese market XC60s than US or European XC60s. Not to mention the US market XC60 has an occupant sensor that turns off the passenger airbag if there’s no passenger. Most European Volvo models also have an occupant sensor but the XC60 doesn’t for some reason. January 10, 2020 2:16 am

This is one of the cheapest cars you can get in China it's only $10000 and already outperforms some cars in North American markets twice its price.

This sedan only cost 50,000 rmb, which is 7,500 us dollars…Though it's not so safe in us safety standard, but it's affordable to most people in China.Besides, it passed c-ncap crash test which was enough for european standard…
