Drive the two front wheels on a pair of 2x6 wooden boards. It raises the front of the wheels just enough to get a better view of the front jack point. Also it gives your floor Jack a bit more height clearance.

this is awesome man thank you for the detailed explanations and actually showing the jack points with your camera under car. a lot of videos and manuals I've saw online don't exactly show where it is.

Yes! Thank you for being detailed with the camera viewpoints. When I initially looked under my '21 touring, I was baffled about how to get it up in the air without damaging plastic, shields and the black felt. So much different than my '15 V6.

Thanks man! This video came up just in time for me. I live up North and was just planning to remove my front lip for the winter. Otherwise, it would be used as a snowplow. Lol

Might be a good idea if you live up north. I ordered a new front spoiler. I think I will wait until the spring to replace the old one which has cracks from last winter snow.@@10thgenAce

Thanks buddy , i always have a hard time jack this kind of accord on the front , it doesn't have a bar cross under radiator tank as previous model so usually i jack up from side underneath of body frame because i didn't have low profile jack.
@raiden72 Жыл бұрын
does this mean you use scissor jacks at the side jack points, then support with jack stands?
@BabyGators Жыл бұрын
I always drive my front wheels onto short 2x6 blocks to make this MUCH easier.
@lexmichael20402 жыл бұрын
same goes when you have akasaka, what I’m doing is abit more complicated but I’m just gotten used to it which is I’m putting ramp on both front wheels and start jacking up the back high as you can and put the jack stands there in the back and jack up the front from the middle jack point high as you want and put the jack stands.
@10thgenAce2 жыл бұрын
I tried doing it that way but couldn't find the right ramp for my car given the fact that I had low-profile tires as well so I can't even take the car up a ramp lol!

Hey, thanks for the video. I was wondering, is it safe to jack up the front, put two jack stands under the front one on each side to raise the front only? And if so is this high enough to get under the car to change the oil? Thanks
@daniellebron60462 жыл бұрын
If you put jack stands high enough on the jack points behind both front wheels you should be good to change the oil. I do it that way all the time.

How high can you Jack it up?
@10thgenAce Жыл бұрын
I honestly don't have the exact measurement. I only jack up the car with enough room to work around the car. I wouldn't recommend going to high especially if not necessary

2:00 does anyone know a low profile jack that doesn't scrape the underside of the bumper? Or is this just something we need to live with as 10th-gen Honda Accord owners?
@protoman247 Жыл бұрын
I do regular oil changes for my fam with older and newer Honda civics. The newer civics have the jack point further behind the two front wheels like in the video. A neat trick I use is to drive over a pair of 2x6 wooden boards on the two front wheels. It’s very easy to use and raises the front just enough to get a better view of the front jack point. The jack I use is low profile jack I got from harbor freight. I also use hockey puck in the saddle to avoid scuffing the jack point with the saddle. Remember to lower the car with the 2x6 boards still under the tires when done with your work. After, simply drive off the boards.
@protoman247 Жыл бұрын
I would recommend the Daytona low profile, long reach floor jack from harbor freight. It’s worth the money if you do your own work on your cars.
@DylanJones80014 ай бұрын
Just use any low profile jack that you please... just try setting up some wooden blocks or planks so that you can elevate the front bumper enough then jack it up!
