Just installed this part on my 2.0T Sport. Absolutely love it. Did some spirited driving on the street and highway and the car feels much more stable, there’s less body lean and the steering feels more deliberate, provides more resistance and feels sportier overall. It even feels like it might be shifting crisper. Don’t notice anything bad at all. It now feels less like an average family sedan and more like a car in which you can do dumb s#it confidently :) Thanks Honda Jon for recommending to do this. I never would’ve thought of doing this on my own because I would never imagine that this little cheap nothing part can make such a difference. Back when I had my G37x, I wanted to reduce body lean so I upgraded to Hotchkis sway bars. Those $400 sway bars, which were a real pain to install btw, did not cause as big of a difference in that car as this $60 mount caused in this car. I wrote before that Honda should upgrade the handling for their 2021 model somehow. Well, all they need to do to it is this. Thanks again.

Hey Jon, great find. I'd love to do this mod but I'm a concerned about the vibration as the plastic part is designed to give as the engine vibrates. It doesn't for you, not even a little noticeable?
@eviadubz5 жыл бұрын
Having the hardest time removing the screws/bolts. I know youre not supposed to use a torque wrench to remove em. Maybe a socket wrench is okay? But just requesting some input on that part. Also, would a torque wrench be required when tightening? Probably advised right?
@HondaJon5 жыл бұрын
It was hard to break them loose that first. They really are seated on there. I would definitely use a bigger rims that are used in the video. Maybe like a breaker bar. You have to think these are torqued on there from the factory and with the heat of the engine they really are hard to remove. And then when you put them on I would definitely torque them to 52 foot pounds I believe. It’s in my listing. It’s not that much and you could easily over tighten and you definitely would not want to strip it.

Honda Jon haha thank you, sir. Youre one of the good ones.

My upper torque mount is Hasport 62A from MAPerformance. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not, as opposed to where you guys ordered yours from. But the vibration is bad. Even my wife who’s oblivious to anything pertaining to my car noticed it. I’m thinking of sending that part back and purchasing the one you guys suggested before I put the stock mount back on. What do you think?
@HondaJon4 жыл бұрын
I would. I have heard that ones is really harsh. The Honda one is perfect in my opinion. Definitely stiffens it up without adding all the vibration.

The 2.0 AT has a black metal brace that you have to loosen to pull the torque mount out. Also noticed the rubber bushing on one end is not as tall as the original. Not sure if this will cause any issue. Will test drive it tommorow and find out.
@PaulVo5 жыл бұрын
For the 2.0 AT, I didn't notice any good/bad things from this mod. It feels the same to me, so I don't think it's worth it.

Thank you very much for sharing this Jon, I’m looking forward to getting this mod to improve my ride as well. Jon I know this slightly off topic but I’m looking for your advice... I have a 2019 Honda Accord 1.5T and between 25-35 mph I get a brief hesitation in acceleration. I took it to the dealer with only 3500 miles on it and they said they can make the same thing happen for them but since there’s no trouble code coming up they can’t help me. Have you run into anyone else with a similar problem?? I’m grateful for any advice you may have
@HondaJon4 жыл бұрын
Thank you man. I appreciate that. Once in awhile I will get that but I think it’s more related to turbo lag than anything. There are certain rpms that will create more lag that is definitely noticeable.
@GeneA.694 жыл бұрын
Honda Jon thank you sir for your very swift reply. It makes me feel a lil better knowing I’m not alone but I’m still a lil concerned. I thought turbo lag is directly related to when a car is 1st beginning to accelerate and not after the car is in mid acceleration and has accelerated to the speed of 25-35 mph and continuing to climb in speed. None the less I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me 😁👍
