We just bought a 2017 f150 XLT Supercab Sport with 9000 miles! Like brand new! (the current date is 08/08/21) We love it so far, really nice. I'm from Flint so Chevy has always been my brand, Ford has always been "acceptable" but Chevy was king. I did own a '94 Ranger back in the day and liked it. My wife really liked this Ford, me too, so I bought it. Hard to pass up on a truck with such low miles being 4 years old.

I have a 2020 xl stx in iconic silver it is the best bang for the buck. With the sync 3 and FordPass app it has the capability of remote start through the app with auto climate when started. I’m happy with my truck.

Just bought a 2016 platinum and I gotta say, these trucks have just as much luxury if not more than german cars. I went from a 2015 BMW X5 to this and I gotta say I'm a happy camper. I would never buy one new off the lot since I don't want to experience the first depreciation toll, but buying one that's CPO with bumper to bumper warranty and is a deal you can't beat!

3.5 EcoBoost Motor has problems keep that in mind... I have a 2018 V8 and it has never given any problems granted only 23k on it now. Research big time... 2019 f150 V8 Sucks with cylinder deactivation, will cause other problems worst I got in 2018 is the auto start/stop feature. EcoBoost 2.7 is supposed to be solid just not the 3.5

Great video....I studied the crap out of the trim levels before I ordered mine. The guy got it mostly right, with the exception that some trim levels are not available in regular cabs. They are so rare today though it's hardly an error to be fair.

I was going to say the same thing. I own an XL that is *almost* exactly like the one they went over. With 9k dollars worth of additional options, it's not really a base at all. In fact, I would say it's even above a base XLT, same as the XL they showed. But they compared it to an XLT that had tons of additional options as well (like Katzkins leather) which makes the XLT *seem* a lot higher that it would be as a base XLT. Not the most insightful when doing a raw trim level comparison but I get it, it's not a ford factory so they have to use what they have.

For a young adult like myself, STX was the way to go. Most bang for my buck. I would love to have a higher trim someday but really the STX has everything I needed. Sync 3 comes in handy with Apple car play, I have my 4-wheel drive (very needed where I live) and all the space in the world for hauling stuff. And you can’t go wrong with that more aggressive sport appearance ;)

Holy guacamole. I remember you could get 4x4 f250 diesel for like 35k back in 2003. The F-150 looks like a really nice truck but can get super pricey at 65k for some of them. While I do like them I just can’t justify spending that much for a truck . Now a raptor maybe but still. 60 to 70 k for anything is a lot. I do own a 18 Mustang GT but I opted for a lower priced one. I wanted a performance pack but they were to much also imo. My cars msrp was a tad over 36k but I ended up getting it for 29,871 plus tax. Payment in low 500 range no money down. I couldn’t imagine what the payment would of been on a 60k vehicle no money down. Prob over 1k a month. While I could afford it I would rather have two nice vehicles so we also have a nice lifted 4 door wrangler at 400 a month. Great video

Completely agree. I have the STX but it has the 2.7. And I know, I know...V8's are supposed to be in trucks and all that stuff but i drove both, the n/a 5.0 and the EcoBoost and that EcoBoost will leave that 5.0 off the line like its tied down to the road. Now the 5.0 may be better on the top end but I'd much rather have a better 0 to 60 time than have the ability to go 120mph. The faster acceleration is absolutely more practical during city driving and passing ability.

@@MrPami9899 I hear you but I and my wife use these trucks as our weekend luxury ride. We use to have a Mercedes S-Class until it got up in miles and the ABC system malfunctioned. After discovering how nice the upper trim trucks are we never looked at another sedan. We like the ride height, more space and capabilities over the luxury sedans on top of the fact that they are just as luxurious.

2019 F350 Limited 6.7 with 28k, awsome truck so far. The limted leather dash is bubbling on the driver dash and the steering wheel is squeaky when cool outside, the squeek is inside cab at the column. Other wise solid truck

I have a 2018 xlt in the navy blue color (idk what they call the color) and its the best thing ive ever owned. Only complaint is i didnt know the coyote existed. But at least i have the 3.5l ecoboost. Personally i think the xlt is the ultimate trim. Its not too crazy. Has some minor luxorious aspects to it, but its not got all the ridiculous things that ruin modern trucks. I have a bench, so i have a column shifter. No nav or anything just bluetooth but thats ok with me. Love the chrome on the xlt, its not too much and its more like accenting. I especially love it in the interior.

If I see 100 pickup trucks, MAYBE 2-3 are pulling a trailer. I got mine because it was the only way I could get a new, large, V8 vehicle with 4wd for under 65,000 well equipped. Like it or not, the vast, vast majority do not use them to pull a boat to the lake or load 800 lbs of payload in the back.

Florida, Georgia, Arkansas and Texas (move a lot for work) I stick by my statement of the vast majority of trucks on the road are not carrying or pulling a load. I get it... gravel and cement is heavy I just don't see anyone using their trucks for that. Most truck owners have it because they want a big 4wd vehicle and IF they need to id can carry/pull some things. For me, like I aid, I wanted a large v8 with 4wd. I had the engine superchaged so I can do 0-60 in 4 seconds. When I move, I can just pack the things I need and go, so the covered bed is useful but I dont need 800 lbs.

I have a 17 f-150 XLT sport edition with the second gen 3.5L ecoboost with the 10 speed with comes with the 302A package plus it has the under chassis protection that you get with the FX4. It came with Four Wind Spray-in bed liner, lockable anchor mounts, LED bed lighting, and lockable tail gate. Plus this video wasn't long enough because you skipped a few things starting at the Lariat.

I've had a 4 door pickup 4×4 for years. Best 2nd vehicle you can have. Here in Tn you don't really need a 4 wheel drive but it's a truck why not. Great video.

I grew up in texas and I've lived in wisconsin for nearly ten years. I cant justify a 4wd here in the winter. sold my Tahoe z71 after two years of living here and drive 2wd's ever since and never got stuck, slid out, or whatever. IMO, 4wd is for off road.

platinums have standard power deployable running boards, also the camera is for auto high beam assist and lane keep assist, there are radar sensors in the front bumper for automatic emergency braking including pedestrians but also for adaptive cruise stop n go where the vehicle stops at 0 if the vehicle in front stops.

The box links do not work in a truck bed that has a liner. But, you can get a machine shop to fix them or do it yourself if you have the equipment and skills.

All the trims are great trucks with some better features than others but in my opinion, the STX is by far the best bang for buck. The STX give you the center console and the 8 in touch screen although it doesnt come with navigation you can still use you Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to display your navigation on the screen while even using the best nav system available...WAZE! You can get any powertrain in the STX you want along with 4x4. And any must have add ons. So anyone in the market for a F-150, just those STX's first. But if money isnt a thing for you then RAPTOR all way!!

However, the people that can actually put their bias aside, then the Raptor is the best daily to offroad combination there is. The ride is amazing for daily commute along with the interior but it is ready for offroad whenever you are.

Damn, 46 sticker for an STX? I saw a platinum at my local ford dealer stickered at 55. Might have been “bare bones” option wise, at least as bare as you can get with a platinum, but they are much closer in price than I would’ve guessed. I went used, with a 2018 lariat, and it wasn’t very loaded. No diff locker, basic 4x4, no FX4 package, no LED’s, and no navigation. Got it for 35 with 7,000 down. Financed 28. Very happy with that. Used is the way to go on these newer trucks, they’re just too damn expensive new. Also, this salesmen is very knowledgeable. Great at his job. I work at a dealership, and I can tell you, too many salesmen don’t know Jack shit about the vehicles their selling.

Just got a 2019 STX 4x4 V8, Best bargain of the whole line. Some of the options on the upper grades are totally useless, for example, power tilting steering wheel? Forward facing camera, what's the windshield for anyway? An electric release for the tailgate? The aluminum tailgate is so easy to open and close anyway and you're gonna sweat your ass off loading the thing anyway. Heated and cooled leather seats? I've never owned a Ford truck that couldn't run you out of the cab with it's AC or the heater, you could hang meat in the summer and cook it in the winter. I upgraded mine to the off road version by picking up a set of skid plates for $600 bucks and kept the comfortable ride by staying with the standard shocks. Spray in bed liners look nice but won't keep the bed from being dented, my half inch thick American made bed mat protects the bed and cost $100 bucks. Protecting the paint? Ya gotta grind it off to put on the Lion X liner anyway. So Yeah, I love the trucks that ford puts out, but the options are bordering on the ridiculous, as well as the prices.

Check out the F150 Lightning tribute trucks that Pioneer Ford in Bremen, GA is doing. Not sure if they are still doing that since I haven't checked since February 2018, but they did have some on the lot then awaiting the Rouch Superchargers. I'll have to call them up, and see if they're still doing that.

How is that beige trim on the aspx? It's all electric with power windows doors and locks! The XL don't even have cruise control but not supposed to have cruise control supposed to have manual windows non-powered beers non-powered seats

Should have threw in that the STX grill is available on the XLT limited edition as well as the Lariat limited edition. XLT comes with cloth interior, black with red stitching and a graphics package and the Lariat comes with ebony leather with red accents and the graphics package. Also you can opt to delete the graphics from the factory.

anyone notice when theyre doing the white xlt that the first truck that was an “XL” is actually an xlt as well

Anthony Riley it’s not an XLT. The XL with STX package doesn’t say XL on the badging, it says STX. The wheels are a dead giveaway on the STX package.
