Make sure to only use the factory GM part as some aftermarket purge valves are known to only last few hundred miles. Here is factory GM part: ACDelco GM Original Equipment 12690512 Vapor Canister Purge Valve: amzn.to/3JlpILB

Thank so much for taking your time in making this video. It was so clear and concise. I’m your new subscriber now. I have a 2013 that I have been driving for almost 12 years now. It’s at 147000 miles now and I’m running into this issue. Thank you again

Just got the 442 code a couple weeks ago on 2018 Traverse 67k miles. Your video was excellent. Replaced the purge valve only and check engine light went out immediately. I found the part on Rock Auto. Way to expensive at brick and mortar. Thanks for the video.

Glad you liked it! I agree RockAuto and Amazon are my go-to for a lot of automotive parts. Thanks for watching!

I am very lucky and happy with my 2018 Avenir. Only issue I have had is the emergency brake not releasing occasionally. A simply tur off, clearing, and restart has fixed it even after it was "repaired" under warranty two years ago. I haven't had any other issues. However, It has 80k miles on it and needs a bunch of routine service. Transmission fluid I believe to be original, coolant replacement, Brake Fluid replacement, Power steering fluid replacement, and general tune up items such as spark plugs, throttle body cleaning, and intake manifolds cleaned. I can do all of this myself but don't necessarily want to, so I might pay a shop. I am torn between selling it and leasing a new car. If I pay to do all of this service it will be because I am going to keep it for another 50 to 75k miles.

I have been happy with mine as well. Bought new back in 2018 and outside of regular maintenance, I have had only a few problems, but they were all easy to fix. Shudder with transmission, drain/refilled helped. Purge valve, if you haven't done yet you will at some point (I did separate video on replacing). The only other issue was it was running out of gas before the light turned on as it wasn't technically low on gas but stalled as it wasn't getting gas (this was back in 2018 when I only had couple thousand miles). There is a separate TSB for AWD versions that had a bad fuel hose that connected the main fuel tank to the additional side tank that was only added for AWD. When I get some time I will probably do video on that issue as well.

How many miles do you have on your 2017 Avenir. I have the same vehicle in grey with AWD and 80k miles.

Bought my 2018 new back in 2018 and have roughly 78k now. My wife hauls around the kids every day and she loves it! I've towed boats, trailers, etc and it does a great job with the suspension as you can firm up with a push of a button. Hoping to keep mine for many more years.

Where is vent solenoid on 2018 Buick enclave you show in video
@TeamDIYNow2 ай бұрын
It's located in the middle of the vehicle on the driver side. See 10:57.

That buick enclave has the same engine layout as the 2018 Chevrolet traverse. That is one dirty engine bay.

Yea you're right its dirty! Something I need to add to the list to get done!
