This 2018 Ford F450 equipped with a 6.7 liter powerstroke diesel kept have to do a manual regen. It always says exhaust overloaded service now.
Found codes P0471 P0473 for the exhaust back pressure sensor. If that isn't reading right then the pressure differential sensor doesn't know. And basically clogs the DPF.

Good luck 🤪🤨. DEF systems are B!$#h. Aside from the injector, sensors etc. The biggest problem, I've encountered, was the crusty buildup of all the components. Remember DEF is literally urine.Thank you EPA and Cali. Emissions regulations 🤨😠😠😠. Calsificaion build up. And then the high exhaust temperatures. Resetting the the ECM has been problematic. Seems like the dealerships have control over this stuff. Proprietary information. Chrysler aka Dodge is the worst. Doing a regen requires the proper scan tool and be prepared for 30 minutes of ,high RPM ,runtime.

It was literally just an exhaust back pressure sensor connector. I wired in a new one. Everything ru s fine now. 30 min that's it's on a regen? That's normal on a regular regen. This one when it was completely full took 6 in one day. All about 45 min long. Yes I know DEaf is urine. It's 62% urea and 38% water. I did a video on what it is and how it works in the system. Yes they get crusty. But you know what gets rid of that. Hot water. Yes you read that right. Hot water. Melts it like ice. Yes I agree. Thanks Cali with the stupid emission crap. Hey let's use an egr to keep it cool. Then raise the temp to clear the dpf. The circle jerk of automotive

Stopped at a hotel for a day so my hours could reset. We're on the cusp of 170k! No P0170, got my tire replaced with another new one, no more engine light because a tire is reporting 0psi. Really, the check engine light is supposed to indicate emissions systems issues, not a flat tire, which I would hear, feel, and see.

Never seen a tire cause a check engine light. Usually that's a TPMS fault. Glad your okay though

@@BeardedFordTech Yeah, I swapped my full-size spare and the flat. The flat read 0psi so long the dash said I had a TPMS malfunction. After a few of those, the light came on. I checked with FORScan and the light was illuminated due to the dang TPMS system!

Wow, there's so much room under that truck around the Differential Pressure Sensor on the PDF! It must be a pickup truck. The narrow frame Chassis Cab 4X4 trucks are so tight in that same area. 😄

It looks as if someone was there before. I see what appear to be three clear heat shrink tubes ahead of the bare wire area.

Yeah someone has been in there. Way before me. The heat tape was pulled back too. Like you see in the video is how it was. I didn't mess with anything

Ford just published a tsb for 22 to 24 superduty trailer brake fault codes. I wondered if you could do a video on the correct way to inspect and clean the back side of the 7 pin on the superduty. My 23 has done it

Yeah I can take a look. Do ypu know the tsb number? These are a little different. These don't have trailer brake. The connector may be there but a dumbby not hooked. I'll have to double check

@@BeardedFordTech mine has just flashed trailer brake fault for a second and chimed after washing it. I was going to pull the plug apart on the back side and check it and use some motor craft xg 12 where the wires go into the plug and inside the plug but would like your opinion

@Sp_Tremor6.7ho pull the connector and check for corrosion. My fleet doesn't have that connector back there. They don't have trailer brake option. If there is corrosion your going to have to fix that. If there is no corrosion and everything is tidy and clean the trailer brake control module may need an update.
