We hiked the burn area in Rock Creek in 2021, it was like a nuclear bomb site, very hard to follow the trail

Sounds like it has not improved since you were last there...

Red knob is the most scenic spot on the whole hike

Tough to argue that point, Deadhorse is pretty spectacular as well

With all of my struggles, I never even thought of that. It was great weather!

I absolutely understand the frustration of the burn areas. I lost trail a half dozen times. I did not go to Jack and Jill. I went through the heart of it. Enjoyed!

They could use some maintenance for sure!

Disneyland is less busy. The highline trail is ridiculous.

Epic hike! Awesome footage! Brandon proved his mettle and the passes provided stunning views. Travis kept filming while not in great shape and the Uintas River Canyon had some amazing rock formations. Thanks for the long version here.

Altitude keeps me away from places like this. Scary sh**. Glad you made it out safe. Made for a great video, hope you got well soon!

This was my first time experiencing it even though I go into 10k elevation areas every year.

@@mountainwanderer Interesting. I've been thinking about backpacking the Wind River Range but I really don't want to get altitude sickness on a solo hike. So I'll probably stick to the Eagle Caps!

Gosh, what an epic journey amid just beautiful country. Glad to see the "full" version. You have a really good friend in Cho Ta (sp?) who stayed with you and helped you walk out! Sorry that Josh got sick too - but kudos to Brandon to hike the whole trail - even with the less than hoped for supply drop. What an adventure! You all are a great group of friends!

This whole thing was a grand adventure! I learned a lot. I think it pushed all of us in ways we've never been pushed before.

Really looking forward to the full length version on the big screen but will plan to watch it in several installments in another day or two when the weather turns crappy again here in the southeast. Watched just enough of the intro to get me hoping for the crappy weather sooner rather than later 😉

It's that time of year for me too, sit back by the fire and watch the year's videos.

It was awesome watching your hike. Sorry you got sick. Did you ever figure out what was going on with your health?
@mountainwanderer10 күн бұрын
I think that the general consensus is that it was altitude sickness.

What a wild experience. Certainly can’t underestimate how tough the Uintas truly can be. This was great. Sorry your bucket list check box didn’t fully get checked. Next time!

I trained hard for the hike, but you cannot replicate the altitude. I didn't make it to the end, but I certainly learned a lot!

I wasn't paying very close attention to that. Someone else commented that it is actually good fishing there.
