Another good time out. Timber looked happy to be on the trail. Thanks for the video and take care, Al

Sometimes it's good enough to just get out on trail with a good group of people!

I drove by this trailhead and saw the car parked there. It wasn't the ol' Dodge but I still wondered out loud to my young son that maybe that's the Wanderers. Now I get to show him the video and look smart 😉. Ive been in there many times myself. Thought there might come a day when I'd bump into you around this area. Love the videos! Great trip and another cool video!

That is really awesome! Surprisingly, we didn't see anyone out there that weekend. We thought we would see a bike for sure. I love this trail and will certainly be back. One day we might even make it up onto the ridge!

Camp time matters! I always love seeing how much fun you have with friends in the woods.

We do our best! The camping trip time is coming to an end, and soon it will be hiking trip time!

3:30 Love it. Sometimes solitude is far more spectacular than the spectacular scenery that draws crowds on a regular basis.

I've come to love these "pre-season" trips. Our main goal is to get out there and get some hiking in and we usually stay lower in the mountains and go to places that aren't a "destination". I still find plenty of beauty in these places. Soon enough, we'll be walking along high ridges.

You guys are way ahead of us here in the snow melt department. That first camp was sweet! String lights were a nice compliment to your camp. That second camp was pretty nice! Good crew, the woods, hard to beat!

Yeah... unfortunately, way too far ahead!

Felt great to get out on trail with you again! Looking forward to the next one!

That first night's campsite looked to be a spectacular one with it nestled amongst the trees like that. A great time had by all!✌

It definitely is! That first campsite was one of the reasons I came back to the area!

Very fun! Your joy in the outdoors is infectious. Fourth trip of the year for you and I haven't done squat! I better get busy or I'll be dragging ass come August. ;-) Hope to remedy that real soon!

I'm guessing that you're already in better shape than I am! It's time to start trying to get up higher in the mountains, but something tells me (satellite images) that the snow is still holding on.

Nice relaxed backpacking trip Travis! And two great campsites. It's amazing how often cold air gets trapped in a drainage.

I swear it was probably 10º cooler down in there! After staying down near the creek the first night, we were more than happy to have a bit of sun in camp!

Yes, shoutout to those that clear trails! We went on 14 mile hike last weekend in ID (no motos allowed) and we had to climb over, under and around many dozens of downed trees. Those will get cleared fairly soon, but it's nice to have all groups that are allowed on the trails help. I've packed saws, and other tools, many time as I try to give back to the trails.

Amen! The trails in my area do not get hiked very often by people, and not a lot of volunteer groups hit them either, so much of that is put on the riders. I always try to remove some objects as I hike down a trail, but mother nature is always trying to take it back!

Even though I hate when a trip ends, the after meal is always something to look forward to. Thanks for sharing your camping trip! :) :)

I didn't see any Crow flying around. Nice vid as always Travis. Can't wait until your "special guest" does a Cameo with you!
@mountainwanderer8 ай бұрын
The crow is always around, though sometimes harder to see than others! We'll see if the special guest shows up. He cuts is own trail, that guy.

Had some banger shots in there man. Looks like y'all had a fun trip. Good to see Silver Val out and Double N J out on an adventure. However it doesnt really count as a trip if Jason didnt fall at least one time. 😅.

If that is what is required to be a real trip then..... this was a real trip! 2 or 3 times over!

So nice! Love the music. You create all the music, right? I was wondering what town you base all your travels from?
@mountainwanderer8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yep, all of the music is done by me or bands I have been in. We're up in the Silver Valley in Idaho. Basically where I-90 cuts through the panhandle.

Howdy, new subscriber here... I live near Flathead Lake. I want to do two solo trips a year. Maybe 4- 5 days. My goal is to see no/few people and lots of fishing (I can go mid-week). I've been going through your videos...Out of all your trips, do you have 1-2 recommendations to look at? Thanks, Steve

Being near Flathead Lake, the Bob Marshall Wilderness is right there! That place is wild and will always give you an adventure. My friend Joey, who has been to more places than I can count, told me that the Teton Wilderness is one of the wildest places he has been. I've never been there, but I hope to someday.
