I find the Bat a much better tool for the outside cutting method. You can use the drill to hold back pressure on the tool and lessen the likelihood of denting the panel. Fortunately the Mustangs cut out easy. My Spider is a go to for back lights and windshields.

@@jaywilson3081 I prefer the Bat as well but some people haven’t upgraded or even prefer the Spider. Since I work directly with WRD I try to cover as many tools and uses as I can.

What happens with the pins that were attached to the glass? Are they supposed to stay attached to the glass for re installation?
@autoglass_help_line19 күн бұрын
@@RevoDSM The line usually cuts through them. You don’t need them to reset the glass, but some glass, like the frameless glass, you may have to tape in place for a bit.

Look at all the pressure it puts on the outside of the panel. I'm sure that must cause a distortion. You couldn't use this on a higher end vehicle.

@@3rdgeneration653 You can actually use this method on a great many vehicles. I have a prototype tool that will allow for removal of smaller windows from the inside. I’ll be posting videos of that one soon.
