Keep in mind this is the least track-capable version of the Dark Horse as well. Unfortunelty the EU cars dont get the handling pack (due to EU pedestrian protection regs) which having driven both, makes a huge difference- The HP cars get better aero, more negative camber, 305/315 width Trofeo RS tires, different chassis tuning for mag ride..etc. The brakes are really amazing. Glad you enjoyed it!

I`m a EU citizen and I love US cars. They are not as refined and polished as the EU counterparts, but bang for the buck ...? I think they do a pretty good job. I thought americans had a better opinion of their rides, because in Europe people tend to look down on them like being inferior for some reason. Especially handling. But that story might had been told in the 1970s and persisted to this day. Although it wasn`t true at all. Motorweek tested Camaro Z28 against Porsche 928 sometime in the 80s and, despite Camaro had some flaws from the factory, it won the fastest lap. One other guy drove a Firebird (fourth gen) as a drift car and said he had never seen anything like it. It handled perfect, was predictable, very solid chassis ... What I`m trying to say is there are lots of great US cars aside from Corvettes and CTSes. But how do you say about that stuff ...? Underrated?

Best combo for this car. Sadly the GT is saddled with a Getrag MT82 for the manual which is fun, but prone to issues. The Tremec here is a much better transmission, and IMO the manual is the only way to go. Leave the automatics to the soccer moms.

I had already put an order in for a Dark Horse but with Misha putting his stamp of approval on this car and how great it is really makes me feel better about spending 70k on a non Shelby mustang. To say I can’t wait is an understatement. Thank you so much Ford for continuing to make these N/A American V-8 track killers with manual trans.

Handling package makes a huge difference. GT350 still faster around the track but the auto rev matching and reliability of the 5.0 vs the 5.2 voodoo makes up the differnce. I had fun with a dark horse with the 10 speed and unfortunately trans temperatures handicapped the car, but it was also 94 degrees. Rather have the tremec 6 speed personally :)

19 lbs of tire pressure, and the low tire pressure light is on.. the gauges are even all in yellow when they should be Gray , why bother doing this like that ? I believe the computer shuts it down.... and those tires don't stick at all, comfort tires... pretty sure nobody's going to drive that car on that track better than you.

So sad they don’t get handling back, was with Grassroots Motorsports when they tested a non-HP at the Firm in Florida’s and the tires hold the car back a good amount. The 305/315 as well as all the other changes makes a huge difference and you would’ve loved it! Hopefully they can order all that stuff and install it themselves. Can’t wait to see you try more American cars. Like a ZL1 1LE, Boss 302, GT500 or a Z/28 (would love to see first and last one fs)

The 3.55 rear gear in the auto would be better suited here. The optional 305 and 315 Trofeos would have made a huge difference as well. That's not even getting into all the standard track upgrades that most do. Considering what that car was shows just how much potential a lightly modified car really has.

Look how times have changed: 20 years ago german and european cars in general were the pinnacle of performance and track usability and american cars were just too fat to be nimble around corners and only offered straight line performance. Nowadays american cars started gaining up on that difference and germans are at a crossroads between electric and 2.5 tonnes monsters...

So am I right in saying that this doesn't have the "handling package" that the US guys get being EU spec? Also in the UK we are apparently only getting 457hp because of the emissions crap, does the EU spec get more as he said 500?
