Fits are so great, even "civilian" ones. I've had a 2011 2nd gen 5MT Fit Sport, a 2015 6MT LX 3rd gen, and a current 2020 3rd gen red Sport which I bought new for only $16,890 plus tax and registration. With the last I couldn't find a MT but have grown to love my CVT because it has 7-speed simulated gears with paddles, and I love it. It holds gears and upshifts by itself at red line, good gear spacing. My only mods are Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 205-50/16s and an HKS Silent Power catback exhaust. I will keep my 2020 Fit forever. (I'm 97 and go canyon carving with friends every Saturday, and East San Diego County has top twisty roads. My friends call my Fits "Porsche Harassers.") I gave my 2011 Fit to my granddaughter's husband (now over 150k miles only replacing an alternator due to baking for two years n Las Vegas), and my 2015 to my daughter. I put 17-inch Kosei Racing wheels on the first two Fits, with 215 summer performance tires. I'm much happier with the quiet softer ride of my 2020 with the stock wheels and super all around Indy 500 tires.

That's great, I had the firestones in that size too, great tires. I'd love to get out to California one day to drive the canyons.

I have a Fit and I love it. Only car I would even think about trading out on for is the GR Corolla

I started thinking like you, but found a 2022 Subaru BRZ for MSRP, and now think it's a better alternative. I'm keeping my 2020 Fit Sport, though.

4:48 Stock Fit's 1.5-liter I-4 produces 130 hp at 6,600 rpm and 114 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm. Was that with stock intake?

Good looking Honda Fit. How difficult was it to swap over the steering wheel controls from the OEM to the Buddy Club Steering wheel?

How appreciable is the difference that ktuner + intake made? I daily mine and thinking about going the ktuner route. Thanks for the summary, it was helpful.

It's not very noticeable at all acceleration wise

@@kevinhayesmedia is it weird that I have a different take? I ended up getting it and it made daily driving so much better. I don't think it's placebo. I totally feel it at all rev band, but greatest 4500+.

Do you know any websites where I can buy a x bar for the back of the gk5?

Love it! Thank you! Could you provide the steering wheel cover please?
what spring rates/damping do you think you can suggest? I'm also setting up my gk5 for autox.
@kevinhayesmedia Жыл бұрын
There's no one right answer. Somewhere around 10f/12r with damper valving to match. Getting the front tires in optimal contact patch is crucial, my setup never got there before i sold the car. Good luck!

All you need to upgrade the suspension from the LX, EX, and EX-L to the Sport suspension is just the HFP springs?
@kevinhayesmedia Жыл бұрын
Lx, ex, ex-l, Sport all have the same suspension. Hfp is a dealer option on the sport models, most sports don't have hfp. I purchased and installed hfp suspension myself.

Have an S2000 as a weekend car and daily a 2016 lexus is350 f sport. Been considering selling the lexus to get a fit since gas prices are so absurd and dont seem to be coming down anytime soon. Do you think this makes a fun daily and is it tiring to commute with on the highway?
@kevinhayesmedia2 жыл бұрын
On the stock or hfp suspension, the drive is plenty comfortable for commuting. but after 2 hours of driving it, the stock seat would feel uncomfortable to me. If you put high spring rates for racing like I did, it is not suitable for daily imo. too stiff. As far as fun, I don't know that's subjective I guess.

for autocross I believe I had 30-32 cold. and had to take air out as they heated up after each run.
