Now that is how regular people drive. I love the way the car looks on the outside an in. The camera view was great, it felt like I was driving the car. Sounds of the tires reaching their limit in the turns, highway speeds reached. I thing I found my next car. Thanks for the ride.👍

For those of you who keep thinking the looks was “ripped off” of a Golf or gti, well thats because the man who designed cars for VW and Audi, is now working and designing cars for Hyundai and Kia, Peter Schreyer. And also the suspension on this car was worked on by Albert Biermann, who used to work for the M division for BMW. This is one fantastic hatch.
@TheTopher7 жыл бұрын
Dynamics remind me a bit of my MK6 GTI. The only knocks I have against it are the traction control (on/off switch), and the lack of a mechanical or electronic limited slip/torque vectoring system.
@Sardonic19817 жыл бұрын
it's ALBERT Biermann.....but you're right. The new Sonata's and Elantra's def have BMW cues and that's all because of mr.Biermann... we've always been a Hyundai family, father just bough a 2017 Sonata..BEAUTIFUL car. I still have my 2005 accent :) still hanging on after 130k with no major issues. Very cool to see the progress and proud to have always stuck with this company, to see what they've become. It will only get better..

If you're older than 25 than it maybe because you're growing out of that boy racer look. I'm in between still. I want to make my current car look like a race car but I want something like this as a daily since it looks more mature yet still cool. just my hypothesis.

biggboysouth totally agree, im 28 what you wrote were some of the reasons i got the GT sport. It kinda in some ways reminds me of the Audi A3 from 2013. Cause its clear the A3 were for those that didnt want the (for a lack of better terms) “racing” look that the GTI has.

After all the hype of the i30N people are really starting to look at the elantra gt. Sure it's not as much of an enthusiast's car but it's all we get in the US. I personally think it looks great from the outside (with the exception of the wheels). The curves and the color remind me a lot of the BMW m2

Jesse James They do, except is only in Europe as of now. It’s called the Hyundai i30 N. The Elantra GT in the U.S is the i30 in Europe. Hyundai actually already discontinued this 2018 Elantra Sport model in favor of the new 2019 Elantra GT N-Line which actually has a body kit and stiffer suspension thus making it an actual “Sport” trim for the Elantra GT. Check out the 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line. That’s the new “Sport” trim now according the the HyundaiUSA website.

the clutch engagement point is a consideration for manuals.This cars clutch engagement point is very nice. It's not too high in pedal travel,or too low. Manual cars feel more engaging to me. It may be the same way for you once you're proficient at it. Pedal spacing is also a consideration, especially if you want to learn heel/toe downshifting.

Nathan Amons I was hoping someone else would notice. It’s probably the throttle tuning. V6 Mustangs are guilty of it and most of it is the drive-by-wire throttle. Luckily my Speed3 doesn’t have a whole lot. It gets on my nerves fast

If they just added 2.5 more things, I'd buy it (to replace my current Impreza CVT + BRZ MT6 combo). 1. Add mechanical LSD (just like Civic Si). 2. Add adaptive cruise control to MT6 version. 2.5 Improve gas mileage just a little, closer to the new Civic Si, but I can live without this. Reasons. 1. If I'm going to have just one car, it has to be hatchback. Way too useful. 2. I simply must have adaptive cruise for long trips. I've been entirely spoiled by the EyeSight system on the Impreza. 3. Insurance is too high for BRZ, simply because of too many people crashing them. I'm guessing this will be less costly to insure than Civic Si, purely due to the demographic of people who buy it. 3. I like the simple, but handsome (Golf-like) looks over the over-stylized Civic's look. Otherwise, I might just give up "fun" forever and just get the next generation HR-V (MT6 with Honda-Sensing). I'm not far from retiring, so I want to minimize ongoing expenses.
