2018 Jeep Compass Limited Review - Jeepin it up!

I’m checking out the Jeep Compass for the second time, this time in Limited trim, and I still really like it! This is a compact CUV with all the Jeepness you’d expect. I did a little off-road driving as well as a ton of on-road driving. Check out the video and let me know what you guys think! texasGarage How did that 9 speed automatic shift? I hear nothing but complaints about this gearbox in FCA vehicles.

I've heard complaints with the transmissions in FCA vehicles as well but as far as it shifting and the feel, it feels just fine. Under normal driving conditions, you wouldn't notice any difference. Of course, I haven't driven one with over 10k miles so...

Me and my wife just bought our first jeep. And it was the compass limited. So far so good. It is a little sluggish on the bottom end but it's a 4 banger with 180hp. But for a small SUV it fits me my wife and our 15 yrs and 7yrs fine very roomy. Cargo space is a little small but no big deal I'm not planning on moving any big furniture. But living in Michigan I am looking forward to winter to see how it handles our snow. So all in all I give the compass a 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great little SUV.

@@txGarage so far so good with the Michigan winter and snow. It's not a very powerful engine but the traction system is amazing. My wife loves it...

If you are not taking it off road you can opt for the front wheel drive and save a lot . That is what I would get if I lived where it does not snow much or ever .

Agree but if you're not wanting AWD I'd say a Jeep may not be your best option anyways. Unless you just love the nameplate and styling which is a reasonable stance.

WHY do they put an automatic transmission in a Jeep ? It's out of place, like a pig in a church. I know dealers make their profit on upgrades and "options" but a Jeep without manual is not a Jeep.

Manual is a dying breed . Problem. Is now most new Jeep's come with auto 9 speed. Low power more gears lol

15 mpg is a joke. Even when driving as good as possible. That is what I’m getting I’m mine that I just got a month ago. Pathetic. Regret getting it.

texasGarage hi thanks for the reply. I actually expected much more than that from the car. The car looks great, like a mini grand cherokee. Panoramic roof is nice and audio is a big plus. But with that mpg, it’s just sad, maybe something wrong with my car and dealer says nothing is wrong. I get 18 mpg on an Escalade. Smh. And for $35k I should’ve gone for Challenger R/T scat pack make the mpg worth the drive

I bought a 2018 compass trailhawk 4 weeks ago. 1700 miles on it. I thought it would look cool with some all terrain tires on it. Its hard to believe jeep made a "trail rated" suv with a tire size that you can NOT get all terrain tires in. WTF???
