I went and got this can over other brands just because this guide is so clear. Really helps when you are not a pro at working on cars

I just installed this on my 2021 Kia Stinger GT Limited and it was very simple to do as per the video. Thank you so much for posting the video, it was very helpful! Just a heads up to others…be careful when tightening the bottom bolt of the bracket. Mine broke off the car with little force, (just a small weld held mine in place) it left a hole so I used the existing hole and screwed in a 3/8th self tap Hex screw 14 x 1”

Thanks for the great install video! Only issue i had was getting the spring clamp off of the hose in the back but other than that it was easy

Will be installing this tomorrow on my Stinger; love how super simple it is to install. Went with the single over the double as I don't mind emptying it every 1500km and the double looks annoying to install compared to this lol UPDATE: This does not work (as seen here) an a 2022 GT Elite. The stud where the M6 nut holds the bottom of the bracket to the engine bay IS NOT PRESENT (the hole is there though). Further more, the hole doesn't even line up with the bottom hole on the catch can bracket; you'd need to drill a new hole in the bracket and also install your own stud in the engine back to use the M6 nut. All I did was put threadlocker on the top 14mm stud (prevents vibration from loosening the nut) and impacted the nut down hard on the top of the catch can bracket. That's all you can do unless you wanna waste like 2hrs drilling holes and making your own studs

Finished install using this vid. Took me 35 min. Thank you! How often are you supposed to check it?
@mishimoto3 жыл бұрын
After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch cans every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle.

Hey I just installed it and everything works fine but I’m still not sure how tight I’m supposed to tighten those hose clamps because I don’t want it to leak but I also don’t want the plastic tips to break from too much pressure.

some install two ? are two really needed for some reason ? and I've seen some videos mention hot air that's blown back with catch can and there's an additional little air filter thingy to install as well ? Will only adding one catch can create any flow problems in other aspects of the car running well and not blowing hot air into the intake, or is that normal ?
@mishimoto3 жыл бұрын
You should not have any air flow issues with our catch can kit. Catch cans will not create a noticeable change in the intake air temps.

Why do we need to lubricate the O-rings?
@mishimoto3 жыл бұрын
This prevent the O-ring from being pinched when being tightened and makes removal down the line easier

It looked like they came with a little lube already in there. I didn’t have any on me during install but hopefully what it had was enough until I get some bought.

Hey there is there a reason as to not use a twin catch set up with this engine?

Our testing showed that only one catch can was necessary.

I currently have Injen CAI and GFB BOV installed and I would like to put this on my 2019 KIA Stinger 3.3TT. It is compatible correct? And do I have do disassemble the OCC to empty the can?
@mishimoto4 жыл бұрын
This would be compatible with your car, to empty this you would simply unscrew the bottom of the can or use the drain plug on the bottom
