Just finished watching the whole vid haha awesome quality vids like always this was one I was really waiting for haha. After my Acura I said I would never mod another car again but man you're making the inner car nut in me come out haha that intake sounds amazing on turbo cars, that was the only thing I was disappointed about in the stinger when i test drove it, not even a hint of turbo sound from the twin turbo engine but this changed it real quick! As for the slight bit of oil in the driver side that is rather peculiar I feel like both passenger and driver sides are a bit different and I'm not sure if one turbo is larger than the other to eliminate lag. Either way thank you for making this video Stinger is such a cool car, I got a few reactions on the road lately as well haha and I got the low key black car too! Can't wait to see what your next vid will be until then take care gentleman! -Kevin

That oil going into drivers side turbo might be to do with the PCV set up of the stinger. I read this: The crankcase pressure is not managed by a simple check valve. Pressures are monitored electronically or mechanically at both the crankcase and intake. The system directs the vapors to either before the turbo or intake manifold when the time is right. haha found the comment and that makes sense ya man that intake sounds so good finally sounds like a turbo car I will keep it in the back of my mind haha. good vid as always guys..FYI the reason you have oil going into the drivers side turbo is because the drivers side crank case blow out feeds into that turbo, the passenger side crank case feeds into you air intake manifold..oil catch cans should go some way to solve that problem,, put a CC on my stinger 3.3 TT and I,m catching about 100ml every 1000+kms which means it's minimizing carbon build up on my valves not to mention giving me more horse power as oily air lowers your fuels octane..maybe a future project?

Hi DJYes running 2 dual port cans 1x drivers side and 1x passenger side. Concerned with running single 3 port..... I could block off the passenger side air intake inlet and run outlet to drivers side turbo, however concerned about boost back pressure so I just run two cans made my own brackets pretty easy. keen to see if anyone else is running single 3 port though.

Hey Stinger looks like you had the same concerns i had with the driver side valve. Ive had no issues but definitely agree K&N should fix. I love the sound especially the turbos. Also I found now if I drive in comfort mode I am getting about 2 more miles a gallon if I am conservative. Couple the cold air with the ARK it makes the Stinger very aggressive. It also looks like the passenger side hose that goes to the pipe not the turbo looks slight crimped. Mine is the same as well. Been running the cold air for a month now and couldn't be happier. To disconnect the batterry is for the computer, to erase any preset progeams that might be in the computer. However I also installed the Lap3 chip from David at K8 as well.

To be honest I haven't felt a difference. I need to find a shop locally that can handle an all wheel drive and get it Dyno'd to know for sure. I do know coupled with my cold air intake which I installed at the same time, driving conservatively I get more gas mileage. Now I did try the Launch assist before and after and did notice a small difference. I am thinking the only way to tell for sure is to get it on a Dyno. Sorry wish I could provide you more info. No I did not change out the spark plugs. I would say the one real bonus to it though is the fact it was really easy and quick to install.

You know now thinking about it. I don't really use sport that much as it just eats my gas, I'm mainly in comfort to preserve my gas as I use my Stinger as a daily commuter. However in sport mode is where I think the most beneficial gains are. So not to discourage you but not running around town and racing everyone in sport mode.

just putting intake won't give you anything other than altering the A/F ratio which is no bueno for engine. you drove subaru before and probably know how it goes. if you want to get power out of it, you need to modify it properly. upgraded intercooler, oil cooler, straight pipe, boost control solenoid, air fuel separator with catch can, and protune will get you 500hp+ without rebuilding your engine. clutch and transmission are already high rated.....camshaft is forged and pistons are already pressure casted from factory....so this beast is ready for heavy mods.

Hey if you didn't do bov's yet just take the hoses from the stock bov's to the intake pipes off and cap the intake side with 1" cane caps. No need to waste money on bov's. they don't make power just noise.

Driver side turbo constantly showered with oil from the pcv line, passenger side pcv runs directly into the to the intake manifold right near the cylinders. This car is in serious need of catch cans, pumps out lots of oil through it's pcv lines, this lowers the octane rating of your fuel which leads to it's own issues in a turbocharged engine, and in this case one turbo will wear differently than the other and shower the intercooler with oil. Mentioned this unusual setup in one of the threads regarding catch cans on the forums if your interested. I would recommend putting catch cans, no need for expensive ones if price throws you off, I've had $300 catch cans which look nearly identical and perform identical to a $75 catch can. Any baffled catch can will do the job, add stainless steel wool to further improve the condensation surface for oil vapors to condense on.

I just bought a base stinger a month ago and have been watching all your videos basically doing everything you've done except I'm on the fence about wheel cap covers and front emblem cover. I might go with brenthon. I know you have the GT so it doesn't apply to you like it does me BUT I have shitty halogen bulbs in the housing unit in the middle of the daytime running lights so I'm trying to figure out what HID kit or bulbs I should go with for that perfect white/blue sport look, almost inbttween the blue Ford explorer headlight output on the road and the pure white Lincoln mkz. I know it's off topic but do you have any suggestions? 9005 bulb model, if not, thanks for just posting videos that help me mod put my car. Also, I wonder if the air intake would work on my base stinger cause it sounds amazing man

I just installed this on my Stinger GT2 yesterday. After installing it I realized it’s no where near water proof! Any tips on driving in rain and washing the car?

Graham Fiedler your hood is water proof so not sure how water would get in there anyways. Wash your car and open the hood and you will see its completely dry. There should be no reason water should be coming up from the bottom of your car also. If it does It has the box covering the lower part. I hand wash my car anyways I don't take it to a car wash.

Hey guys, sorry for responding a year later haha. Just picked up a 2019. I just installed the Typhoon on my GT1 which I already had GFB Blow Off Valve installed for about a week and wanted to know, is it normal to get a loud sucking whoosh sound the whole time I’m accelerating? Everything is tightened perfectly. I definitely have no leaks. Thanks for any feedback!

Not to sure but you may have the blow off valve set to low on the tension. which means your actually losing boost. watch your boost guage and see if its building boost like it should or not. I have the stock ones still so i cant give true feedback for your situation

StingerGTandMe I went back to stock bypass valves and also went back to stock air box but I put in drop-in K&N air filters and am happy with the performance and overall sound of stock setup. When I eventually run out of warranty, I plan to install a Lap3 and will probably put all that stuff back on the car at some point.

Im worried about the intakes, does the oxigen sensor gave you any trouble? im tinking about making the change, but they told me that if i put the intakes i shoul make a tune up, to change the value of the Oxygen sensor so it wont brake and dont loose the warranty, what do you know about this guys?

Eduardo Martinez not sure who told you that. If it required a tune K&N would have to say that in the instructions. When I bought the same thing for my Subaru it said must be paired with the proper tune. I have no issues and car runs great.

Like your video but, am I the only one who knows that the pshh sound really comes from the blow off valve, not the intake? No car without a BoV makes a pshh sound with a new intake. You can just hear air flow louder but no pshh.

if these were after market you would be correct. The stock Kia stinger bov dont vent into the air they recycle it back into a looped system. The sound is from the air intakes. Do a quick search and you will learn all stick BOV dont vent to the air. Thats why if you use a vented one you have to set it to half or 1/4 vent or the car will show an error or check engine light.
