Unfortunately, I was told the fenders, hood and engine were all stolen at the same time.

It's funny.....I'm trying to find a car that I had 30 years ago using the VIN. I keep running into road blocks because it's supposed to be against the law.

These guys (along with the many other super finds appearing lately after 50 years) have obviously found a way to do nationwide vin searches and circumvent "the law".

All you have to do is tell the right story to the state dmv. In this case the story should be something like I am starting an insurance agency targeting old cars. Please provide for the business purpose a cd of all records of all cars / trucks over 30 years old. Works for IOWA. Will cost you about 25.00 for the data dump.

They were just stupid people with money, with no appreciation for the American Art Form.

If I remember correctly, my uncle is friends with the man who owned it. His brother ended up wrecking it one night and he sold it to his brother (The one my uncle is friend's with) and it was stored in a shed for quite a while where people would buy and take parts off of it, not knowing it was a prototype and not a regular Mustang. After that, I remember this being one of three prototypes and they brought in a camera crew and gave the owner a new (2015?) Shelby Mustang and a 1965 I believe along with some extra cash. I'm fairly sure that's THIS car, but I'm not ONE HUNDRED percent sure.
