Not expecting anyone to actually read this, but id highly suggest the video for the championship finals next years to last exactly 1h, so the video length doesnt spoiler the outcome of the battle. Basically a 28 mins video already tells that the match would be over after only 2 games, meaning that after Paul won the first game, it was clear from the beginning that Paul would also win Game 2.

Tschukitschaki2 as soon as i saw the left player’s team, i knew he was gonna lose. like, three ubers? and two of them being commonly used? quite hilarious and not surprising. so it’s already obvious from there that he’s going to have a very bad start, and very bad outcome. also, not all tournaments are able to spend wasted time on editing. it’s very complicated to explain, but basically, they don’t always have the time nor staff nor money (the only reason why people can make these events happen, btw) necessary to waste on such a simple thing.

It took me ages to work out but i finally figured out what could have been done in the second round to keep the trap alive, and win Emilio the second game. Gengar had to substitute, then landorus had to earthquake. Gengar would be safe from earthquake because of substitute, and inciniroar would be knocked out by the earthquake. Landorus would then die to a frustration from snorlax. This would leave gengar and snorlax trapped in and about to die from the trap, and latias and mega salamance (almost) fresh. A protect from latias would block the frustration from snorlax (the only thing it could do) and gengar would be able to get a shadow ball off onto mega salamance, who would most likely go for dragon dance. (Predicting the dragon dance and ice beaming the salamance would result in a loss, as latias would die to a frustration leaving just snorlax and gengar alive and gengar fainting to perish song first due to higher speed) After that, snorlax would go, gengar would go and latias would just have to survive a +1 double edge to win the game for Emilio (or a dragon claw but most salamances don’t run dragon coverage). If it could tank that, Emilio could of won. If it couldn’t if, then gg to Paul. The only other out would have been a successful double protect for landorus and gengar. In case we have the regular idiots who don’t know how this works, this took me about half an hour to crack, and almost certainly would not have been thought of during the very short turn timers. Anyway, congratulations on your victory Paul!! And good effort Emilio!
