These Jomez videos are seriously my favorite viewing experience. I have a few shows I watch, I enjoy movies, but I look forward to new Jomez like Big Jerm looks forward to a new course with a tree he's never seen. Nothing tops fresh Jomez.

Fun to watch, nice to see a course that rewards skill instead of who can throw the biggest hyzer!
@johanp26 жыл бұрын
Skill? Almost every hole is blind, and every other fairway is impossible. What this course mostly rewards is defensive play and luck.. Seems as if they just put a teepad and a basket in the middle of nowhere and called it a disc golf hole..
@kaseyburlingham28616 жыл бұрын
It looks like any NorCal course to me. There's plenty of gaps and lines to get through. There's a reason the most skilled players and the players with the most touch and best putting stroke are on the lead Card. I know a lot of Pros whine when courses are not wide open, but wide open courses are super boring to play and even more boring to watch. Plus a course like this forces the players to make smart decisions.

I wonder if it would be possible for the lead card to let Jomez take a quick picture/vid (not for us but instead for Big Sexy) and quickly list their discs...or at least their main drivers and mids. It would greatly add to the commentary IMO so I could hear ‘that was his Compass’ or ‘look at the shape that Wraith took’. I’m thinking the ‘that was some kind of mid I think’ comment could be improved.

@jomezpro, I love you guys. I've been a patreon for a while and I've bought a few of your discs. I'm sorry but I just can't support videos with Josh Anthon in them. I know you don't choose who goes on a lead card. It's a free country and the pdga and Innova decided to welcome him back. But I'm gonna vote with my wallet. I have tried to replace most of my bag that was Innova and I'm not going to sponsor videos that promote this guy.

can we just be honest that DeLaveaga isn't the best discgolf course for competitions at the highest level of the sport? It makes Disc Golf seem like a joke, like putt putt. Theres too many unpredictable reactions and novelties. If it were like other major courses, and wasn't treated like the crowned jewel of California Disc Golf that shouldn't be touched, then maybe they would change elements to make the course play more challenging, and less like a game of roulette or plinko. Jomez makes it very fun to watch nonetheless. EDIT: I was coming off like I hated the course, which I don't. The main point is, it can be good, but changes and updates need to be made for it to be at that right competitive level where there aren't so many of those "throw it and pray" holes.
@caseysmith5446 жыл бұрын
Well, the course is not the best but not the worst out on the elite tour though close. I think the course needs changes like cutting dead trees, branches etc not only for better play, but for player safety. Seems to me some of the dead trees and branches make for a harder course then necessary out here. It is a overgrown course that needs some major trimming to work again. I have seen this on lots of old courses I have played that they just get overgrown and nobody takes care of them. I have even seen this overgrown problem on a course that is only from 1998. Yes I get trees mature and stuff but leaving dead branches, unless the Ordinances are such That does not allow for trimming of trees then do so. Neat fact is that cutting dead parts off helps with keeping most trees with a better chance of being healthy.
@chandlerautomotiverepair5736 жыл бұрын
we spent many many man hours hauling away dead trees downed limbs and cutting grass...this IS a forest and we need permission from the parks service to do any tree felling.

It may be a bit to much to ask, but hey Jomez, do you think maybe on these awesome nature courses we could get an upload of a round without commentary? This course and the Nick Hyde Memorial just sound so peaceful and beautiful between Sexton and Koling’s talking. Don’t get me wrong I do like Sexton and Koling commentary, but at times Koling can kinda sounds like the John Madden. Between talking shit on Sexton during final round of Nick Hyde and just rambling sats or talking gibberish during drives, he can be a bit much. Maybe stick to a Cannabis sativa before commentary Jeramy. You sound a little burnt out sometimes when you puff on a Cannabis Indica before recording. I personally find my thoughts to be a little more clear when micro dosing with Cannabis sativa. Like Koling, I’m pretty slow cognitively after smoking a strong, well grown, dried and cured Indica. I’m sorry, I’m getting sidetracked, hey Jomez, do what you say? On awesome nature courses can we get a round with no commentary? Just your fantastic and professional coverage? Oh by the way, your production looks completely stunning on a 4K television. Such quality! Nice work Jomez!
@andywillhite6 жыл бұрын
After rereading that, I may have came off a little hard on Koling. I do over all like the commentary. Him and Nate had me rolling a could tournaments ago talking about the extra juice in the pitcher and being parched and so on. My dad, friends and I are still saying it of our home course here in northport, Florida. I’m just saying could we maybe get a round or two here and there with no commentary, just great production of the best disc golf in the world, with the sounds of nature and the sounds of the game? Thanks again Jomez!

Hey Cameron, yea, I did that few a few minutes. I do like the commentary better then nothing at all. Plus I felt like I was doing Jomez a disservice by muting the sound. I’m just saying, with the birds chirping, and the tiny sea breeze, this course sounds so peaceful.
