The rain in the background actually made me really happy! I haven't heard that sound in months (because of the snow) and rainy or thunderstorming is my favorite weather

I need to add some of these onto my list of tbr lol I'm so late in the game but I was in a really weird * didn't want to even read a magazine * phase & I think it had a lot to do with all the text book reading I was doing for college but now I really want to start making some time for pleasure reading again! 💙✨

The Shadow of The Wind my ex and I read it in Spanish for a school assignment and I can honestly say we stopped a few time because it was that scary. Its the first book out of a saga of four. Honestly, Carlos Ruiz its an amazing Latin writer, you wont regret it.

When you eat spicey food and your mouth is on fire then try apple juice or orange juice next time ;) They always work better for me than milk. :)

Oooo Shadow of the Wind sounds amazing ✨ it almost sounds a tiny bit like If on a Winter’s Night A traveller (and incredible read, highly recommend) but that might be making a very tenuous link😂

I read Shadow of the Wind ages ago and I loved it. Actually I read all the books Carlos Ruiz Zafon had published at the time, I was obsessed. I remember reading some people giving bad feedback about the plot and so but his style was just perfection. I read them in Spanish though so I'm not sure if the translation is gonna be as amazing as the original. I hope it is and you enjoy it! :D

That sucks you had a crappy reading year. I usually rent books at the library and read the first chapter and if it’s not good or doesn’t interest me within the first chapter, I don’t continue reading further. I do this before I buy a book too. In my experience in the past, if a book does not catch my interest right away it never gets better (aside from one Deen Koontz book). This “reading the first chapter and deciding if I want to keep reading” method, makes it so I only read really good interesting books (to me) and don’t waste time reading an “eh” book all the way through. I love reading but can only read books that are really good to me aka “page turners”.

*Definitely read the graphic novel The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo!!!* I can tell you are really passionate about justice and care about woman's rights, even though you don't really get political on your channel or social media. But trust me you will absolutely love this mystery/crime novel, which was my favorite book that I read in 2017. The original title in swedish is "Men Who Hate Women", like, need I say more?
