While I love my 2018 RAV4 SE I wish I had known before I purchased it that you cannot install a bike hitch or tow a trailer of any kind with this vehicle. As far as I am aware the SE trim level is the only trim level that you cannot tow with. Per page 181 of the owner's manual Toyota does not recommend towing a trailer or installing a hitch carrier of any kind with this vehicle. Just thought I would share this information for those who are considering purchasing this vehicle. Other than that fact, I love the RAV4. I wish I had bought the RAV4 Adventure though . . .

The reason they don't want towing is because of the Sport Suspension. You can put a hitch on for bike racks, they just do not have a tow rating for pulling a trailer.

Andrew Diano There isn't a law in the US that says cars have to have TPMS. The reason for the Rav4 not having the TPMS is because most of the Rav4 models sold are in states and provinces with winter snow seasons. Meaning we typically use Winter tires. If it had TPMS it would cost people roughly an extra $120 per year to switch tires. The next generation of Toyota's will have the ability to hold 2 sets of tires like the new 2018 Camry, then we will see it for sure.

I cannot fucking stand that they did not put full speed range (stop and go) radar cruise control on the 2018. The fuck??? You have it on the Camry. It’s a mere software and barely different hardware needed

No its not just software. They would have to redesign the entire braking system to have the hold mode, which also means re-designing the dash and console configuration to have the new buttons for it. Rav4 is not due for a re-design for at least a year or 2. At least the Rav4 has a heated steering wheel which is not available in the Camry
