2018 Trophy Ridge React Alpha sight review

Review on the new 2018 Trophy Ridge React Alpha sight and its inverted V pin.

I just started hunting with a compound in Dec of 2018. Had been shooting my crossbows til then. My Bear Kuma came with a React Alpha sight. After shooting it for almost a year, I can say, I love it!! Trying to look through a multi-pin sight doesn't event feel right to me. I thought that I would need a multi-pin for changes in distance, but nope! This sight is quick and easily adjustable, plus I have learned to be able to shoot at certain different distances (20, 25, 30 yds) without needing to adjust the sight for different distances. I have mine set up to shoot out to 60 yds, which is way further than I would shoot at a deer anyway. If you want a great single-pin sight, this is the one for you!!!

You can’t beat that sight if you want a single pin that’s easy to sight in. I love mine, also you can use the 1 yard increment tape on the other side or the sight. In essence having both the 10 yard tapes on the left and down to the 1 yard on the right side.

pro tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

Why does it have a silver ring around the housing? I bet thats blinding if the suns at your back.

Bowtech2 it's not silver it's clear for the fiber light up in sun

I have not tried this sight with a lens but have with the TR react one pro. It worked great on that sight but on this one with the large inverted V I believe it might become too distracting for percision work.

Will it go past 60 at all?

It will go past 60 if you sight in your first pin (pin indicator) to be longer than 20yards. For instance if your first pin is 30 yards then the last pin indicator will be 70 yards. Also depending on the speed of your bow it is very likely there will be more travel in the sight (they have to allow enough travel for very slow speeds) so on most (including the one I tested here) you could make a reference point for 70 yards if your first point was 20. Do you think that with the inverted V design that it will indicate if you're torquing your grip at all to the left or right?

drewanderson502, I think it depends on how you grip the bow. What I mean is that if you induce torque from the wrist then it very well might, showing you the bow is not level. I think if you induce torque from from the palm of your had you can do so in a what that it might not show on the grip but will still show in your shooting. Everyone is different so hard to say for sure.

The strength of a single pin does not only lay in the max yardages, it is also the ability to clean up a sight picture with only that one single point of aim.

Trophy Ridge react sliders sights are junk.. I have a 5 pin trophy ridge on one of my bows. In a blind even with the light on. You can't see the pins. There garbage sights.

Just buy a HHA or CBE sight trophy ridge sights are garbage.
