i was just thinking that a couple days ago.. can't believe it doesnt have any chips or flaws yet. sure i could make 10 of them to sell.. but i wouldnt even make money.. the new emblem itself is $55-$60.. then 2 kinds of paint is another $25+... then my labor.. then shipping.. so ya, not worth it to make 5-10 on each one in the end. oh i didnt even remember the vinyl, which is another 20-30... lol

The pop and crackle tune sounds sweet bro. It's too much fun not too... Imagine how awesome it would sound with the TCR rear muffler... I think you can add to your mod wish list. It's not only the sound quality, it's especially the material quality. That stock muffler is just plain nasty as VW installed it for cost reasons only (in Mk6 days, VW still installed got the good quality).

naw.. im not interested in a TCR muffler.. lol. my car is just perfectly loud enough right now. wouldnt want it any louder.

@@LastHumansGarage To improve the sound quality you could consider to run the TCR muffler together with your Vibrant res, or in case still too loud, run it with both resonators (I forgot the name). You would be the only person in the world with such set-up! Could be pretty sweet ;-)

I trimmed the screws and put some surgical hose on the bolt ends to prevent damage. glad to see I wasn't the only one who though the foam was a bit too close.

Bro... I am just running a K&N filter in the stock housing. I never bother to clean and re-oil it, I just replace it every year. Never had any issues with it.

ohh stock intake even? damn bro... come on now. i ran the afe dry for years, works great. but a *closed* intake is the key.. no stupid noises, and a bit better up top near redline.

although.... i wish it has more turbo spool noise for sure. my WRX had a way better turbo spool noise.

@@LastHumansGarage Yeah, a good intake can free up a few horses near the top of the rev range. I like stock look underneath the hood, my MOT inspector should get an OEM feeling when he decides to check a little further. A big open intake won't be helping.. ;-)

cotton only. i got both my mine w foam and ended up replacing both with cotton. Foam doesnt last long at all.

Was the air filter that was on there the original stock filter? Ive got the same as your original one on my Mk 7 2014 golf R but cant seem to see this installed on other MK7 Rs. What brand are these filters ?
