Hi Nice video How did you find the right size of piston? Did you measure clearange between cylinder bore and piston diameter? I have size D (53,96mm) now and it has gone 25 hours. Should have size E (53,97) now. Best regards Eskild, Denmark

The cylinders are marked from the factory. Depending on usage/hours, you may have excess wear and need new cylinder to match new piston. If you have a worry or concern like this, buy a new matching cylinder/piston set made for your bike. Hope this helps and thank you for the comment and support!

Top end is just piston, rings and gasket. “Engine rebuild kit” usually refers to the “bottom end” with crankshaft, rod, etc In Addition to a top end. The “engine rebuild kit” is far more expensive. If you’re only doing a top end, you do not need an “engine rebuild kit”. Call your local dealer to verify you order the right stuff, hope this helps! Thanks for the support!

It would be very hard to do with them on

I prefer to do it without them on to keep any contaminates out of the motor. Many things stick to them (sand, grit, road grime and they are full of fluid, it also aided in giving better camera angles to show what I was doing. Hope this helps and thank you for your support and comment!

Piston will be marked with forward/front indication generally

Any kit you buy should contain everything you need New. Get a full kit and do it all right the first time vs having to do the labor twice, multiple parts runs, poor running conditions, etc. 🍻
