The NC engine is blessed with extreme longevity, therefore a long term test will be interesting from about 235.000km onwards. 125.000km on mine, ( NC700S) no issues except normal wear and tear, and I don't baby ' her'. Safe rides 👍🏍🙏

@@IdealBike I believe that many owners of the NC models get tired or bored with the bike before the bike is getting anywhere near the end of its lifespan. I am saying that because I truly believe that a new bought motorcycle in many cases receives better care and maintenance than a used bike. Therefore the deterioration does accelerate with multiple owners. ( This is just my humble opinion, I do not have any studies to back up my claim). True high mileage first owner testimonials therefore are quite rare. Keep up the good work. 👍🏍

I have the s-version from 2016 with DCT. I have 49.000 km on mine. Great bike. Very practical with the storage compartment. I have ridden through the french alps twice (Route des grandes alpes) and it's just the perfect bike for those types of roads. The great thing with this engine is the low end torque. A lot of naked bikes have a lot of horsepower but not a lot of low end torque, so i had no trouble at all keeping up, even with a fully packed bike!

Just had my first pleasure ride out today as I've only commuted on it so far... half way through one of my 'sportbike' routes in Kent I realised I wasn't making the most of the NC! Good report! With Conti TKC80 120/70 and 150/70 (the optimum size for the 4.5 rear rim) your bike will behave much better off-road. Also, you can fit YSS PD valves, stiffer straight rate fork springs and an YSS rear shock (or Race Tech emulators and their straight rate springs in the fork plus any quality rear shock you prefer in the back) to gain both comfort and control over rough terrain.

Hi, thanks for the review. Would you mind sharing how tall are you and also who is the maker of the comfort seat? I'm currently choosing between 750x and vstrom 650. Did you ever considered vstrom, and if so, what convinced you to choose honda?
@IdealBike3 жыл бұрын
I am 1,80m tall, the confort seats are done by a workshop called Motovis in Ploiești / Romania (for more details please leave me an e-mail at idealcustomseat@gmail.com). I've chosen the NC750X because I like the quality of the product, the reliability and the DCT Gearbox. I was comparing the quality of the parts with V-strom 650 and I've realised that Honda has putted more efforts there, on the quality. Also the NC750X it's more suitable to my needs. Indeed with V-strom you can do more on the off-roads but anyway it was a personal choice. Hope the reviews can clarify it somehow. Greetings!

120/70 and 160/60 are the most common front and rear sizes on the market for street tires. Every street tire on the market today, whether that be sport or GT or track or crossover, comes in that size. It's only the adventure tires that don't come in that size, because no actual adventure bikes use it. The NC750X has a pretty low ride height and and normal street bike levels of suspension travel. It's a great motorcycle, but in no way made to go off road. Lots of people try to defend the NC750X as an adventure bike, but in truth, it's no better in the dirt than a simple MT07 or SV650 on the same tires. Doesn't mean it's bad, but it's not any better than a normal bike with heigher handlebars.

@@IdealBike I went to the 170 years ago, which is the OEM size for the GS's. I won't go back to 160.

I agree with all the points, except for the suspensions (but onl because I don't ride off road) and for the windshield that is enough for me. I own a manual transmission one, and I would add that I hate the 6th gear (that can be used just over 100 km/h). You can feel a lack of power travelling on the highway, if you need to overtake for example a truck or a bus. I takes forever and it makes it quite dangerous. After all is a good bike, expecially as an alternative to a scooter, but I would not buy it again.

Hi there! If you are running mostly on the highways, or if you travel in the city I can highly recommend the new Forza 750. If you do 10-20% some light off-road also then go for the NC750X. The bike consumes around 3,5 liters/100 km, my personal record it's 2.9%. You will get some buffeting with the standard windscreen, you may wanna go for a touring windscreen. Also on the highways at 130 km/h some buffeting may occurre on the legs area. Check also my NC750X Related Playlist. Greetings and don't forget to test the bikes before you buy.
